About The Role As Amogy advances toward full commercialization, the VP, People will lead the design and execution of a scalable, future-focused People strategy that supports sustainable growth. This new role will strengthen our talent strategy, organizational structure, and leadership capability to ensure we are built for long-term success. The VP, People at Amogy is more than a traditional HR head; you are a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team. As we transition from a high-growth startup to a commercial powerhouse, your primary mission is to build leadership depth and ensure the executive team operates as a high-performing, cohesive unit. While you will oversee a capable and tactically ready People Team, your personal impact will be felt most in your ability to coach leaders, navigate complex organizational dynamics, and architect a culture of accountability and trust. This leader will balance startup agility with the structure and rigor required for a scaling organization and have support from our external HR advisor to spin up during your onboarding. What You’ll Be Doing • Coaching and Leadership Effectiveness: Serve as a dedicated coach and confidant to the CEO and leadership team. You will facilitate executive development, improve team dynamics, and ensure the leadership, • Talent Acquisition: Provides strategic oversight of Amogy’s talent acquisition strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s commercialization roadmap and long-term workforce plan while guiding priorities, processes, and outcomes that support scalable growth., • Talent Development: Oversees the company’s performance management and talent development framework, ensuring strategies and programs strengthen leadership capability, clarify career pathways, and support long-term organizational growth. Champions coaching-based management practices that equip leaders to navigate performance, feedback, and development conversations, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement., • Culture & Employee Experience: Champion and strengthen the company’s culture and employee experience by embedding core values into hiring, leadership, and day-to-day operations; driving engagement, retention, and well-being initiatives; and establishing feedback mechanisms that translate employee insights into actionable improvements, • Compensation: Guides the company’s total rewards philosophy and compensation strategy, ensuring pay practices are competitive, equitable, and aligned with performance and business objectives through the use of internal frameworks and external market intelligence., • People Support: Oversees a responsive and compliant employee relations framework, ensuring employment-related matters are addressed with consistency, discretion, and alignment to company values, while appropriately escalating complex or sensitive issues to the right stakeholders., • Compliance: Leads the development and oversight of a proactive compliance strategy, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local employment laws while continuously evaluating and strengthening policies, practices, and controls to mitigate risk and support responsible growth., • People Analytics & Business Intelligence: Develops and delivers actionable workforce insights by tracking and analyzing staffing, retention, attrition, and other key talent metrics. Translates data into strategic recommendations that inform leadership decisions. The Minimum Requirements We Seek: • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of progressive HR leadership with at least 5 years in a dedicated strategic or executive-facing role, • Strong ability to navigate organizational nuances and remain agile with collaborating and communicating with various levels and functions, • Have prior experience building engineering, manufacturing, or sales team by actively sourcing candidate. Develop a clear strategy on talent acquisition and building a pipeline for continuous hiring needs of a growing organization, • Have solid working understanding of core HR tools, resources, structure, and processes, • Have proven ability to design, develop, align the organization, and lead the implementation of projects and initiatives, • Have prior experience designing and structuring effective engineering organizations including familiarity with engineering job families, career paths, and disciplines. This role partners closely with technical teams and requires a strong understanding of how different engineering functions operate and evolve., • Have prior experience of leading and developing a high functioning HR team in a commercialized organization; energy sector is plus, • Have experience managing HR functions across geographies including international markets, • Strategic delivery with the ability to lead and build trust with senior leaders, stakeholders, and staff members; trustworthiness is above reproach, • Rapid growth early-stage organization experience is a big plus!
