Job Description Job Summary The Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods between the warehouse and store locations across Houston and surrounding areas. This role ensures that products are delivered accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations. In addition to driving responsibilities, the Driver may serve as a backup Warehouse Worker, assisting with receiving, storing, loading, unloading, and organizing inventory as needed to support operational demands. Principal Responsibilities • Operate company vehicles safely to complete scheduled deliveries between the warehouse and store locations, • Load and unload trucks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety procedures, • Verify delivery documentation, ensuring shipments match invoices and delivery records, • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report any vehicle issues promptly, • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safe operation of assigned vehicle, • Assist in warehouse operations when not driving, including:, • Receiving, unpacking, arranging, and storing goods, • Preparing and loading goods for dispatch, • Marking, labeling, and inspecting stock for damage, • Operating forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided if required), • Support inventory control processes and report discrepancies to management, • Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record, • High school diploma or GED required, • Prior driving or delivery experience preferred, • Warehouse or logistics experience a plus, • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. repeatedly, • Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed Skills Required • Safe and reliable driving habits, • Basic knowledge of warehouse operations, • Ability to operate or willingness to train on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack), • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, • Good communication and interpersonal skills, • Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events., • Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments., • Ethics - Treats people with respect; Keeps commitments; Inspires the trust of others; Works with integrity and ethically; Upholds organizational values., • Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skilfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics., • Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality., • Continually required to stand, walk, and use hand/finger dexterity, • Frequent lifting and moving of up to 50 lbs, • Exposure to outside weather conditions while loading, unloading, and driving, • Regular operation of company vehicles and warehouse equipment, • Noise level in the work environment is typically moderate
