POSITION TITLE: EVENT SALES & SPONSORSHIP MANAGER DEPARTMENT: EVENT DEVELOPMENT ACCOUNTABLE TO: EVENT DEVELOPMENT & PRODUCTION EXECUTIVE STATUS: FULL-TIME, EXEMPT Primary Objective/Position Summary: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to engage local businesses in New Orleans & Company's community initiatives and events portfolio. This role is responsible for driving corporate registrations and partnerships across all business sizes, generating qualified sponsorship and exhibitor leads, and serving as a passionate ambassador for community engagement and corporate participation throughout the Greater New Orleans region. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional who thrives on building relationships, opening new markets, and contributing to a movement that strengthens the New Orleans business and hospitality communities. The successful candidate will be instrumental in expanding New Orleans & Company's corporate partnerships and deepening local business involvement in community-focused programming. Major Areas of Accountability/Essential Duties: Primary: Community Games Company Registrations Design, develop, and execute a strategic sales campaign to reach annual goal of 75 companies, equating to approximately 4,500 individual participating athletes. Engage with New Orleans & Company's existing network of 1,100+ member companies as initial sales leads. Conduct additional cold call outreach to business categories not currently served by the membership program. Present registration packages to companies of all sizes, from small businesses (under 10 employees) to large corporations (500+ employees). Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve a Year One registration revenue goal of + $555,000. Secondary: Sponsorship & Exhibitor Lead Generation Identify and qualify potential sponsors and exhibitors for three Fit Fete events: o New Orleans Community Games o New Orleans Marathon o WELLNXT NOLA Health and Fitness Festival Schedule appointments and facilitate warm handoffs to the external Sponsorship Sales Team. Track and report lead generation activity and conversion metrics. Additional Opportunities: Other New Orleans & Company Commissionable Assets This position will have the exclusive opportunity to sell New Orleans & Company owned events, as created. Incremental membership sales, as part of event registrations, sponsorships, or partnerships under a separate commission structure. Outreach & Relationship Building Deliver compelling presentations to member organizations, including Chambers of Commerce, business associations, and industry groups. Attend local and regional B2B networking events, trade shows, and community gatherings to promote the Community Games and recruit participating businesses and organizations. Develop innovative outreach strategies to penetrate new markets and business sectors. Cultivate long-term relationships with HR directors, wellness coordinators, business owners, and community leaders. Recruit donors or sponsors to underwrite non-profit participation in the Games, including first responders, military, or non-profits. Reporting & Administration Maintain accurate records of all sales activity, leads, and client communications in CRM systems. Provide regular progress reports to the Event Development Department Collaborate with marketing and event teams to align messaging and promotional efforts. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or university; and three to five years of proven success in sponsorship, ticket or B2B sales or related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Experience: · Experience in sports, events, fitness, or wellness industries. · Background in community engagement, corporate wellness, or economic development. · Established network within the New Orleans business community. · Experience working with companies of varying sizes, from startups to enterprise-level organizations. · Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite or similar. Knowledge of spreadsheets and database programs, desired. Prior experience with a CRM or data management system a plus. Strong problem-solving abilities; initiative-taking. Ability to manage multiple objectives simultaneously and prioritize appropriately. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, members, and/or employees of the organization. Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information. Strong prospecting and cold calling abilities. Attention to detail with elevated level of accuracy and follow-through; self-motivated. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
