Job DescriptionMachine Maintenance Technician Direct Hire | Bastrop, TX Pay: $30–$40/hour (based on experience) Schedule: 3-4 days per week, 12‑hour shifts (average 45-50 hours per week) • Day shift: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Sun-Tue w/ rotating Wed OR Thurs-Sat w/ rotating Wed) • Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment when issues arise, • Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life, • Maintain PCB and electronics assembly machines, including:, • SMT (surface mount) equipment, • Conveyors and ovens, • Test chambers and vacuum systems, • Diagnose problems using electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics, • Safely lock out/tag out equipment before completing repairs, • Use meters, gauges, and hand/power tools to test and calibrate systems, • Read blueprints and diagrams to identify and resolve equipment issues, • Document repairs, maintenance activities, and service reports, • Partner with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability, • 5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience, • Hands‑on experience with PCB or electronics assembly equipment, • Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints, • Mechanical and electrical repair experience in a production environment, • Familiarity with PLC controls and ladder logic for diagnostics, • Experience in advanced electronics or PCB manufacturing, • Lean Manufacturing or root‑cause analysis experience, • IPC certifications, • Exposure to automation and complex industrial systemsWhy You’ll Want to Work Here, • Direct impact: Your work supports world‑changing satellite and communications technology, • Career growth: Hands‑on experience with cutting‑edge, space‑grade hardware, • Stability: Long‑term opportunity with a fast‑growing, innovation‑driven company, • Strong compensation: Competitive pay, benefits, and potential equity, • Lifestyle perks: Lower cost of living in Bastrop with easy access to Central Texas culture, outdoor activities, and a growing tech ecosystem, • Team environment: Work alongside experienced engineers, technicians, and operations leadersWork Environment, • Advanced manufacturing facility focused on PCB and electronics production, • Equipment includes SMT machines, ovens, test chambers, and vacuum systems, • Safety‑first culture with established lockout/tagout procedures, • Use of meters, gauges, forklifts, and scissor lifts as needed, • Fast‑paced, hands‑on, and highly technical environment Employees typically receive competitive pay with overtime eligibility, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, paid time off and holidays, paid parental and military leave, life and disability insurance, and access to employee assistance programs.
