Job DescriptionWhat We DO! Leadership: • Consults with restaurant management and Ops, providing HR guidance when appropriate., • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention., • Serve as the point of contact for all benefit questions, deductions, enrollments, reconciliations, recruiting, etc., • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation., • Participates in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met., • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies., • Manage employee changes, terminations, and other employee lifecycle changes., • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations., • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required., • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to restaurant management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)., • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs., • Assist with on-the-job injury and workers' compensation claims. What you bring! • Bilingual (English & Spanish) Preferred, • 5+ years of HR experience, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • The capability to apply discretion and sound judgment in managing complex processes, decisions, and handling sensitive information., • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and regulations (ADA, EEO, FMLA, FLSA) and the ability to appropriately spot employment risk issues., • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail., • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies., • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors., • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills., • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software., • Starting pay: $70,000 with a 10% quarterly performance bonus program, • Paid Time Off (PTO) program, • Health, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, Life, & Supplemental options, • 401k enrollment with company match (eligible after 1 year of service), • Tuition Reimbursement up to $2,000 (eligible after 1 year of service), • Casual work environment – celebrate your authentic individuality, • Leadership development opportunities – we aim to promote from within our organizationPhysical/Mental Requirements, • Uses a personal computer approximately 40 hours a week, • Uses telephone and email to communicate with customers, both internal and external, approximately 2-4 hours per day, • Sits approximately 5-8 hours per day, • Willingness to travel occasionally, approximately up 10% (locally in ATX as needed and occasionally to Houston, Dallas, and Plano), • Occasional weekend work may be required
