Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities: • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring safe and effective delivery., • Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate respiratory function and identify treatment needs., • Manage airway interventions, including intubation and extubation, in critical care settings., • Provide respiratory therapy for patients with chronic conditions, including geriatrics and those requiring outpatient care., • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a Level II Trauma Center to develop comprehensive care plans., • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols as necessary based on clinical findings., • Educate patients and families about respiratory health, treatment options, and home care strategies., • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities in compliance with healthcare regulations. Respiratory Therapist Experience: • NYS Licensed Respiratory Therapist, • Proficient in airway management techniques and emergency response protocols., • Strong knowledge of pulmonary physiology and its application in patient assessment., • Experience working in outpatient settings is a plus., • Prior involvement in emergency medicine scenarios is advantageous.

Job Description Emergency Medicine trained physician needed. Work alongside 6 ER trained physicians & an experienced midlevel team. Schedule consists of 3/12-hour shifts per week. Shifts are from 8a-8p, 8p-8a & also from 11a-11p. There’s double coverage from 11a-11p & then single coverage from 11p-11a. Servicing over 50K residents, hospital offers Level II ER/Trauma, a stroke center, surgery, cardiovascular diagnostics & complete GI services.
