This 13-week travel nurse assignment offers exposure to complex cardiac cases, advanced cardiac devices, and professional growth in a fast-paced cardiovascular intensive care environment.\n \n\nCompensation\n\n • Estimated Weekly Salary: $2360–$2480/week\n\n\nTravel CVICU RN Job Details\n\n, • Assignment Type: Travel Nurse (Cardiac ICU / CVICU)\n, • Location: Camden, New Jersey (08103) — floating to Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL as needed\n, • Duration: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 13, 2026)\n, • Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00), 3 shifts per week\n, • Hours per Week: 36\n, • Patient Population: Adult cardiac patients (post-op open heart recovery)\n, • Unit Census: 16 patients, 21 rooms\n, • Weekend Coverage: Required (every other weekend/holiday)\n, • Charting System: Epic EMR\n\n\nRequired Qualifications – CVICU / Cardiac ICU RN\n\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU / Cardiac ICU nursing experience (within the last 12 months)\n, • Direct open heart recovery experience from the OR (post-op cardiac surgery)\n, • Hands-on experience with advanced cardiac devices: balloon pumps, LVADs, Impella, and ECMO\n, • Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand at submission)\n, • BLS and ACLS certifications required (cannot expire within 30 days of assignment start)\n, • Ability to pass a dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing (2 attempts permitted; test must be taken on PC)\n, • COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)\n, • NIHSS certification preferred\n, • First-time travel nurses accepted, experienced travelers preferred\n, • Willingness to float to multiple hospitals within the health system as needed\n, • Navy blue scrubs required\n\n\nCVICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities\n\n, • Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to adult cardiovascular patients, including immediate post-op open heart surgery care\n, • Manage and troubleshoot advanced cardiac devices: balloon pumps, LVADs, Impella, and ECMO\n, • Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; recognize and respond to dysrhythmias\n, • Administer emergency medications and titrate vasoactive and inotropic drips\n, • Perform and assist with invasive procedures: central line care, arterial line management, chest tube insertion/removal\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, perfusion, and physical therapy\n, • Float to other critical care units within the health system as needed while maintaining CVICU competencies\n, • Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR and complete required orientation modules and labs promptly\n GHR Healthcare Job ID #466608.
