This leadership position requires a proactive, organized, and clinically skilled professional to ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care in a fast-paced, acute care setting. • Provide operational leadership and clinical oversight of the OR unit to ensure quality patient care and staff performance., • Supervise nursing and support staff, ensuring appropriate staff coverage, adherence to policies, and high standards of clinical care., • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other interdisciplinary teams to coordinate efficient surgical workflows., • Monitor compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines., • Participate in recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations of OR nursing staff., • Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and daily staffing assignments., • Promote and maintain a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement., • Oversee patient flow, case scheduling, and preoperative preparation and postoperative transitions., • Utilize the Epic EMR system for accurate and timely documentation of patient records., • Ensure proper maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory of supplies., • Active RN license – New York State (required for submission), • Minimum 5 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience, • Previous leadership or charge nurse experience in the OR setting preferred, • BLS Certification – American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC), • CNOR (Certified Perioperative Nurse) certification via CCI (required), • Strong clinical knowledge of perioperative nursing practices, surgical protocols, and emergency procedures, • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building abilities, • Effective time management and prioritization in a high-acuity environment, • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, • Knowledge of trauma-level OR protocols (trauma level not specified), • Proficient in using EpicCare Inpatient EMR system, • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and hospital leadership, • Commitment to patient-centered care and staff development Application Process: Please submit your resume to or call (949) 404-4671.
