Location: Seattle, WA HYBRID A leading AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a talented Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join its distinguished Trusts & Estates Practice Group in Seattle. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a high-caliber team advising ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, and closely held businesses on sophisticated estate, tax, and succession planning strategies. Candidate Profile • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record., • Active Bar Admission in Washington or eligibility to waive in., • 2–4 years of substantive experience in trusts and estates law., • Experience in estate planning for high-net-worth individuals, trust and estate administration, and preparation of federal estate tax returns., • Exposure to business succession planning, charitable giving, and implementation of complex tax strategies., • Tax Background: An LL.M. in Taxation is strongly preferred, but not required., • Prior experience at a boutique trusts & estates firm or within a dedicated practice group at a larger law firm., • Soft Skills: Excellent writing and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex strategies to clients with clarity and professionalism. Key Responsibilities • Estate Planning: Advise clients on sophisticated estate planning strategies, including wealth transfer, gift planning, and family governance., • Administration: Manage trust and estate administration, including preparation of estate tax returns and probate filings., • Strategic Tax Planning: Implement advanced tax planning techniques for high-net-worth families and closely held business owners., • Succession Planning: Work on multi-generational wealth planning and business succession strategies., • Client Communication: Interact directly with clients, financial advisors, and fiduciaries to deliver thoughtful, tailored legal counsel., • Collaboration: Work closely with partners and colleagues across related practice groups to offer seamless client service.
