Job Description Title: Bilingual Office Manager (PJACC) Reports To: Community Center Director, PJACC Location: 876 Schenck Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, 11207 Hours: 35 hrs/week; Non-Exempt Salary: $47,939.04 - $53,265.60 / year MAJOR DUTIES: • Oversee and support all administrative duties in Prince Joshua Avitto Community Center (PJACC) and ensure that office is operating smoothly, • Develop and maintain filing system, • Serve as first point of contact for those entering and/or calling the center, • Field inquiries and requests from participants and their families as well as staff in a timely manner, • Maintain a welcoming and efficient office, which includes, stocking supplies, maintaining equipment, receiving, and distributing mail and shipments, welcoming visitors and managing student issues, • Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary, • Develop office policies and procedures, and ensure they are implemented appropriately o Manage program database; collect and maintain vital records and data, • Manage office budget and provide monthly spending reports, • Provide supervision of the part-time receptionist, • Screen calls, maintain the building calendar and orientation schedule, and coordinate meetings for the Directors and student, • Provide translation support to Spanish speaking participants, • Provide administrative support as necessary, including outreach calls, emails, research, and flyer distribution, • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports and respond to other requests for information, • Attend relevant staff meetings and retreats o Supervise preparation for special events and program meetings, • Serve as liaison between program and Good Shepherd Services for matters involving Finance, Human Resources, and Development offices on appropriate matters, • Perform other duties as assigned. The ground floor at Industry City is home to 50+ bars and eateries including 40,000 square-foot food hall, James Beard award-winning Sahadi’s and Japan Village. The Leasing Specialist will report to the Vice President of Leasing. This role involves installing, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing power and distribution transformers. The Field Engineer helps ensure the safe and efficient operation of high-voltage electrical equipment across a variety of settings, including substations, power plants (including solar and wind farms), and industrial facilities. Daily Responsibilities Daily duties vary and typically involve a combination of mechanical and electrical tasks, including: • Installation and Assembly: Assembling new transformers, including the installation of radiators, bushings, fuses, and control cabinets., • Maintenance: Performing routine inspections, oil sampling and processing (degassing, filtering, filling), and re-gasketing to prevent leaks and ensure optimal performance., • Testing and Diagnostics: Conducting electrical tests (e.g., Megger, Transformer Turns Ratio (TTR), and power factor testing) using specialized equipment to diagnose faults and verify operational integrity., • Repair and Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving complex electrical and mechanical issues, repairing or replacing damaged components, and modifying procedures to improve performance., • Documentation and Reporting: Preparing detailed service reports, maintenance records, and test results for compliance and customer review., • Safety Compliance: Adhering to strict safety standards and protocols, including OSHA and NFPA 70E requirements, when working with high-voltage equipment., • Customer Interaction: Serving as the on-site point of contact, providing clear communication and technical support to customers.
