Job DescriptionVMG Studios is looking for an Interim Marketing Director to join our team immediately, a results-driven leader who can take full ownership of active campaigns and propel both sales and brand growth. This is a full-time, one-month contract role with the potential for extension based on business needs. You’ll work closely with company leadership to oversee paid media initiatives, drive lead generation efforts, and ensure our brand maintains a strong, consistent presence across all platforms. Role OverviewThe Interim Marketing Director leads the development and execution of a unified, omnichannel marketing strategy designed to drive business growth, generate qualified leads, and position the brand competitively in the market. This cross-functional leadership role encompasses brand strategy, demand generation, content development, product marketing, digital performance, AI enablement, and executive communications.This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution. The Interim Marketing Director is equally comfortable developing campaign strategies, writing messaging frameworks, launching ads, building HubSpot workflows, analyzing web performance metrics, and aligning creative outputs with business objectives. The role also includes team and vendor oversight to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across all brand channels.Core Responsibilities1. Strategy, Demand Generation & Campaign Execution• Lead the development of full-funnel marketing strategies that support pipeline growth, revenue targets, and brand visibility• Build and execute integrated omnichannel campaigns across paid media, email, website, and social• Define, build, and refine target audiences in collaboration with sales and business development• Monitor and report on campaign KPIs including CTR, CPL, ROAS, conversion rate, and overall pipeline contribution• Use HubSpot to build and manage email nurturing workflows, track engagement, and optimize lead handoff• Maintain a test-and-learn approach to continuously improve campaign performance, targeting, and ROI2. Brand Strategy & Creative Oversight• Own and evolve the brand’s positioning, voice, tone, and visual identity across all platforms• Direct the development of branded assets for digital, print, and in-person use — including campaigns, sales presentations, collateral, executive content, and event materials• Ensure that all marketing content resonates with key VMG Studios buyer personas and exceeds industry standards for quality and clarity3. Product Marketing & Go-to-Market Strategy• Lead go-to-market planning for new service offerings, proprietary tools, and emerging capabilities• Conduct audience and competitor research to develop compelling value propositions and messaging frameworks• Create campaign materials, landing pages, and sales enablement content to support successful launches and adoption4. Digital Experience & Web Management• Oversee updates, content, and performance of vmgstudios.com and affiliated properties• Coordinate with internal creative and external development teams as needed, while also executing updates and building landing pages in WordPress when appropriate• Improve conversion paths and user experience through GA4, heat mapping, and behavior analytics5. AI Tools & Emerging Trend Integration• Serve as the internal AI tools liaison, evaluating new technologies, introducing practical use cases, and supporting team implementation• Use AI tools to streamline content creation, campaign testing, and data analysis where appropriate• Stay up to date on modern marketing technologies and bring forward trends that enhance productivity and innovation6. Content Strategy & Channel Expansion• Lead content strategy across formats including video, blog posts, case studies, social media, thought leadership, and email marketing• Oversee content calendars across multiple channels, tailoring messaging to audience needs and platform best practices• Support growth and monetization of new digital sales channels, including affiliate marketing• Provide strategic oversight for sub-brands, including Queen Bee Mixology & Studio5207. Executive Communications & Public Relations• Partner with the CEO to develop executive-level messaging for LinkedIn, speaking engagements, press, and earned media placements• Own external communications strategy that supports thought leadership and strategic positioning• Ensure alignment of all outward-facing messaging with the VMG Studios brand tone, values, and business priorities8. People Leadership & Vendor Oversight• Manage a full-time marketing team member and oversee offshore designers and freelance contractors• Provide feedback, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to internal team members• Manage the marketing budget and external vendors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on brand, and within scope9.
