Job Description We’re looking for a Senior Audio Engineer to lead the technical and creative execution of our flagship podcast series and shape the broader sound of our brand. This is not a back-room editing role. This is a creative leadership position. If you believe insurance can sound cinematic, intimate, surprising, and culturally relevant we would like to talk. You’ll direct audio production from concept to distribution, build scalable workflows, elevate production quality to premium standards, and collaborate with Brand, Creative, Social, and Executive teams to produce compelling long-form and short-form audio experiences. What you'll be doing: Lead Our Podcast Production • Own full-cycle production of Lemonade’s flagship podcast series, • Oversee recording (remote & in-studio), editing, mixing, mastering, and delivery, • Design and maintain a distinctive sonic identity, • Guide host performance and recording standards, • Ensure broadcast-level sound quality across platforms Build the Lemonade Sound • Develop brand-level audio guidelines (music, tone, transitions, scoring), • Create immersive sound design for campaigns, social, and branded content, • Produce audio for paid media, digital campaigns, and experiential activations, • Partner with Creative Director to align sound with campaign storytelling Operational Leadership • Build scalable production workflows, • Manage freelance editors, composers, and studios as needed, • Oversee audio budgets and vendor relationships, • Recommend and maintain best-in-class recording equipment & software, • Ensure distribution specs for Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, etc. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work closely with Brand, PR, Growth, and Social, • Collaborate with executives and guest talent, • Support internal storytelling initiatives and thought leadership What you'll need to flourish: • 7+ years of professional audio engineering experience, • Proven track record producing high-quality podcast series, • Strong mixing, mastering, and sound design expertise, • Deep knowledge of DAWs (Pro Tools, Logic, Adobe Audition, etc.), • Experience with remote recording platforms (Riverside, SquadCast, etc.), • Ability to translate brand strategy into sonic storytelling, • Strong creative instincts + technical precision, • Experience managing freelance contributors or vendors Bonus points if you’ve: • Built a podcast from 0 → launch, • Worked with high-profile hosts or executive talent, • Created narrative or documentary-style audio, • Produced branded content for consumer tech or fintech companies Compensation: The starting base range for this position is between $127,000 and $145,000 per year. Base pay is one component of Lemonade's total compensation package, which will also include equity in the form of RSUs, access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan with company match, robust PTO, parental leave, and more.
