Job Description Photography and Product Specialist Location: South Oklahoma City, OK. This is a fully in-person role. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available. Skulls Unlimited International, Inc., founded in 1986, is the world’s leading supplier of ethically sourced osteological specimens. We provide legally and ethically obtained real and replica skulls & skeletons to educational, medical, and research communities worldwide. Our unique, family-run business began as a passion project and has grown into a global enterprise over the past four decades—complete with an on-site Museum of Osteology in south Oklahoma City that showcases hundreds of skeletons for the public. Job Summary We are seeking a Photography and Product Specialist to join our creative and e-commerce team at our South Oklahoma City headquarters. This is a hands-on production role focused on photographing, editing, and publishing product listings for real and replica osteological specimens. This position involves daily hands-on handling and photography of real animal and human skeletal material (including preserved skulls and bones) in a scientific environment. Candidates must be fully comfortable working with preserved biological specimens. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable producing consistent, brand-standard imagery in a repetitive workflow environment. This is not a freelance-style creative role, but rather a structured production position requiring accuracy, organization, and reliability. In addition to photography, this role includes managing product listings in Shopify, tracking measurements and weights, and assisting with customer service and general operational support. Key Responsibilities: Photography & Editing • Capture professional images of osteological specimens (real and replica skulls and skeletons) using studio equipment, lighting, and camera systems., • Edit, retouch, and color-correct photos for use on the website, catalogs, and marketing materials., • Organize, rename, and resize image files for internal storage and web use., • Execute structured studio photo sessions following predefined lighting and angle standards., • Maintain consistent quality, accuracy, and attention to anatomical detail across all images. Product Listings & Content Management • Create and publish product listings with accurate pricing, descriptions, and key details., • Track product weights, dimensions, and inventory data for online listings., • Monitor and update listings to ensure accuracy and optimize presentation., • Serve as the main point of contact for product information across e-commerce platforms. Collaboration & Communication • Work closely with the marketing team on creative and educational projects., • Partner with customer service to ensure listings and product information enhance the customer experience., • Communicate progress and challenges to management and collaborate to improve workflows and efficiency. General Support • Assist with receiving, grading, and shelving inventory., • Provide customer service via phone, live chat, and email., • Maintain a clean and organized studio and workspace. Qualifications & Skills: • This role requires full professional commitment during scheduled business hours. Outside freelance or photography commitments must not interfere with work responsibilities., • 1-2 years of professional photography experience (product photography preferred)., • Photography degree preferred, but not required. Equivalent hands-on studio or product photography experience strongly considered., • Proficiency with Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Photoroom, and studio lighting. Familiarity with product listing and management programs is a plus., • Familiarity with Mac operating systems and removable lens cameras., • Strong attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and a highly organized approach., • Ability to work independently, take direction, and manage multiple projects at once., • This position requires consistent, repetitive product photography following strict brand standards. Candidates must be comfortable producing similar image sets daily with high attention to detail and minimal creative variation., • Success in this role depends on consistency, accuracy, and adherence to brand standards over artistic experimentation. Work Environment: Schedule & Location: Full-time, in-person position at our South OKC headquarters, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility as business needs arise. Physical Setting: Combination of studio, warehouse, and office work. Must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working around biological and replica specimens (all handled safely and ethically).
