Job Description Business Development Manager – Staffing Agency Sales Location: Onsite – Las Colinas/Irving, TX Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: Competitive base salary plus uncapped monthly commissions and quarterly performance bonuses Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Life Insurance, Paid Time Off Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven background in staffing agency sales to generate new business, build client partnerships, and expand our nationwide market presence. This is a true hunter-focused sales position for someone who understands the staffing industry, knows how to sell recruiting solutions, and has a documented history of opening new accounts. The Business Development Manager will have the autonomy to build and manage their own book of business while partnering with an established recruiting delivery team. There are no territory restrictions, geographic limitations, or commission caps. Total compensation is performance-driven, with a realistic opportunity to achieve six-figure earnings within the first 12 months. Prior client-facing staffing agency sales experience is required. Candidates without staffing or recruiting agency experience will not be considered. Key Responsibilities • Identify, prospect, and secure new client relationships across multiple industries and markets., • Sell staffing and recruiting services, including temporary, contingent, project-based, temp-to-hire, and direct-hire solutions., • Conduct consistent outbound business development through cold calling, email, social outreach, virtual meetings, networking, and in-person client visits., • Build relationships with hiring managers, HR leaders, procurement professionals, and executive decision-makers., • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to generate new accounts and expand existing client relationships., • Maintain a measurable pipeline of qualified prospects and active sales opportunities., • Negotiate bill rates, fees, contract terms, service agreements, and other commercial arrangements., • Partner closely with recruiting and delivery teams to ensure successful execution and client satisfaction., • Manage and grow client programs while promoting account retention and long-term revenue growth., • Participate in RFPs, proposals, presentations, and client meetings., • Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and account information within the company’s CRM., • Attend industry events and networking functions to promote the company’s staffing capabilities. Required Qualifications • At least three years of client-facing staffing agency experience in business development, staffing sales, or account management., • Proven success selling temporary, temp-to-hire, contingent, project-based, and/or direct-hire staffing services., • Demonstrated ability to prospect, cold call, secure meetings, negotiate agreements, and close new accounts., • Documented success generating net-new staffing clients and profitable gross margin., • Experience managing a book of business and building relationships with multiple client stakeholders., • Working knowledge of staffing pricing, bill rates, pay rates, markups, gross margin, direct-hire fees, and service agreements., • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills., • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, metric-driven sales environment., • Self-motivated, competitive, accountable, and comfortable working independently., • Ability to build credibility through phone, video, email, social media, networking, and in-person meetings., • Proficiency with CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint., • Ability and willingness to work onsite five days per week in Las Colinas. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field., • Established professional network and history of repeatable staffing sales success., • Experience selling professional staffing services in areas such as IT, Finance and Accounting, Operations, Engineering, Administrative, or other skilled disciplines., • Experience developing both small and midsized business accounts and enterprise-level clients., • Previous success securing MSP, VMS, national account, or high-spend staffing business., • Experience responding to RFPs and negotiating master service agreements., • History of developing contingent staffing business with healthy post-burden gross margins. What Success Looks Like The strongest candidates will be able to demonstrate: • Consistent year-over-year net-new account growth., • Approximately 10–12 or more new client accounts generated annually., • First-year gross profit production of approximately $250,000 or more, with continued growth in subsequent years., • A balanced staffing portfolio that includes meaningful temporary or contingent staffing revenue—not exclusively direct hire., • Consistent outbound activity, client meetings, pipeline development, and closed business., • The ability to discuss prior production metrics, including gross profit, gross margin, temporary employees on billing, direct-hire placements, client count, and total compensation.
