Job DescriptionSalary: $132,000-$170,000 Annually Senior Program Manager, Product Development The Opportunity: The Senior Program Manager is responsible for executing the strategic direction, execution and management of Navigation programs within Safran Federal Systems. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to ensure that these programs align with SFS objectives and meet customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have proven program leadership experience, industry knowledge of inertial navigation/PNT technologies and have strong proven team leadership skills. Our Technology: Safran Federal Systemsprovides assured positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) solutions, and custom engineering services to U.S. Government agencies, defense organizations, and their contractors. Safran Federal Systems is authorized to work on the full spectrum of U.S. Government classified and unclassified projects, in addition to supporting strategic partnerships for key defense PNT technologies. How I will Contribute: Execution Excellence: Lead execution of key Navigation programs, tracking cost, schedule and performance against contracts, condense and report to Safran Senior Leadership. Manage key suppliers ensuring Safran is meeting customer needs and delivery requirements. Work collaboratively with engineering, sales, marketing and operations to ensure successful product launches, deliveries and ongoing product support. Product Strategy Development: Execute the product line strategies that support overall business goals and address market needs within the industry. Define and maintain product roadmaps that align with business objectives, focusing on strategic goals, market demands, and measurable business outcomes. Work closely with the sales and engineering teams to identify customer-critical features and implement onto Safran products. Product Marketing, Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape using insights to inform product development and positioning. Collaborate with the Marketing team on how to best position Safrans products in the marketplace, own all forms of digital and print media for Navigation products. Financial Management: Monitor product line and program performance including budget management, forecast key financial metrics including revenue, margin, and cash flow. Customer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns. Team Leadership: Champion and implement product/program management best practices across engineering and other cross-functional stakeholders, fostering an environment conducive to innovation and continuous improvement. Provide guidance and mentorship through influence to align product initiatives with strategic objectives. What you bring to Safran Federal Systems: • 7+ years of experience with a bachelors degree (engineering, business) , MBA desired, • Experience with managing large and complex defense programs, including managing multiple sub-contractors and suppliers., • Product development and management experience, preferably in aerospace and defense industry., • Experience in GNSS, A-PNT, navigation, or related industries preferred., • Strong understanding of industry regulations and standards., • Proven track record of successful product development and life cycle management., • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills., • Excellent leadership and team management abilities., • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, • Deep industry knowledge and understanding of market dynamics., • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and technology trends., • Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, to consider alternative and diverse perspectives, to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, to remain poised under all circumstances, and to interact effectively with people in a positive manner that engenders confidence and trust., • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders across engineering, operations, supply chain, and business functions in a matrixed organization., • Proven ability to drive organizational change, process improvement, and operational efficiency within complex program or product environments., • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Ability to obtain or maintain an active Secret security clearance is preferred., • PMP Certification preferred About Safran Federal Systems: Safran Federal Systems has been awarded as aWinner of the USA Today and Rochester Metro Area Top Workplaces 2025 Award.
