Assist with menu development and contribute ideas for new Caribbean-inspired dishes and specials. Properly store, label, date, and rotate food products using appropriate food-storage procedures. Monitor food inventory and communicate ingredient and supply needs to management. Minimize food waste while maintaining appropriate preparation levels. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food-preparation areas. Follow all applicable food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Ensure proper temperatures are maintained for food preparation, cooking, holding, cooling, and storage. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and properly. Assist with receiving and inspecting food deliveries for quality and freshness. Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining food quality and accuracy. Coordinate with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure timely and accurate orders. Train or assist in training kitchen staff on recipes, preparation methods, sanitation, and company standards as needed.
