Job Description Position Summary The CEO provides strategic, operational, and financial leadership for a technology-driven insurance solutions company. This role is responsible for defining the company’s vision, driving product innovation, overseeing regulatory and compliance considerations, and ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable software that meets the evolving needs of carriers, brokers, TPAs, and insureds. The CEO will champion growth, operational excellence, and industry credibility. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership • Define the company's long-term vision and competitive strategy within the insurance and InsurTech markets., • Identify new market segments, emerging technologies, and partnership opportunities that accelerate growth., • Lead planning cycles tied to industry trends such as digital transformation, automation, AI, and evolving regulatory requirements. Operational Management • Oversee day-to-day operations across engineering, product, sales, and customer success teams., • Build scalable processes that support implementation, integrations, data migration, security, and client onboarding., • Establish and monitor operational KPIs to improve delivery timelines, system uptime, and client satisfaction. Product & Technology Oversight • Guide product strategy with an understanding of underwriting workflows, policy administration, claims, loss control, and risk analytics., • Work closely with CTO/Product leadership to ensure the roadmap supports regulatory requirements (HIPAA, SOC 2, state departments of insurance, etc.)., • Promote innovation in automation, AI, data interoperability, and digital user experiences for insurance stakeholders. Financial Leadership • Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and budget discipline., • Ensure the company maintains capital efficiency while scaling recurring revenue., • Manage investor relations, fundraising, and strategic financing when needed. Regulatory & Compliance • Ensure company offerings remain aligned with insurance regulatory bodies and data security standards., • Maintain awareness of state-by-state insurance compliance requirements affecting product features and data handling., • Oversee risk management programs, cybersecurity posture, and third-party audits. Revenue & Growth • Drive go-to-market strategy focused on carriers, MGAs, brokers, risk pools, and self-insured organizations., • Expand distribution channels, partnerships, and integration ecosystems., • Position the company as a trusted industry partner, differentiating on reliability, domain expertise, and measurable ROI. People & Culture • Build and retain a high-performing team with deep insurance and technology expertise., • Create a culture emphasizing client trust, operational excellence, quality, and continuous improvement., • Mentor and empower the leadership team with clear goals and accountability. Stakeholder & Industry Engagement • Represent the company at industry conferences, regulatory discussions, and strategic customer engagements., • Develop strong relationships with reinsurers, carriers, TPAs, and technology partners., • Provide transparent communication to the board, investors, and other key stakeholders. Qualifications • Leadership experience in an InsurTech, SaaS, or insurance-focused software environment., • Strong understanding of P&C insurance workflows, terminology, data structures, and regulatory environment., • Proven ability to scale teams, operations, and revenue in a technical organization., • Experience with enterprise software implementation cycles and integration ecosystems., • Excellent financial acumen, decision-making skills, and communication abilities., • Ability to navigate fast-changing insurance technology trends and regulatory expectations. Preferred Attributes • Background in underwriting, claims, risk management, actuarial science, or broker/carrier operations., • Experience selling into carriers, MGAs, brokers, or TPAs., • Demonstrated success leading companies through high growth, M&A activity, or new market expansion.
