Job Description Sam’s Italian Deli & Market is looking for a reliable, hands-on Kitchen Manager to oversee daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced Italian deli environment. With a second location opening soon, this is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow with an expanding, locally owned business. Responsibilities • Manage daily kitchen operations, prep, and food production, • Supervise, train, schedule, and support kitchen staff, • Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards, • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health code compliance, • Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost control, • Reduce waste and maintain portion control, • Coordinate with management and front-of-house staff, • Step in on the line as needed during busy shifts Qualifications • 2+ years kitchen leadership experience (Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or Lead Cook), • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation, • Experience with scheduling and inventory management, • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment, • Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented, • ServSafe certification (preferred or willing to obtain) Physical Requirements • Ability to stand for long periods, • Lift up to 50 lbs, • Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment Benefits • Competitive pay (based on experience), • 401k Matching 3%, • Full-time, year-round position, • Opportunity for advancement with a growing company, • Supportive, team-focused work environment, • Employee meal discounts Apply today and grow with Sam’s Italian Deli & Market as we expand to our second location.
