Job DescriptionOverview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Technician to join our team in El Paso, TX, 79912. Essential Functions • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on a wide range of equipment, including lifts, lift tables, cranes, workstations, fans, motors, gates, doors, pumps, and pressure vessels., • Read, interpret, and apply information from electrical and hydraulic schematics, PLC diagrams, and other technical documentation., • Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair equipment by systematically identifying root causes across electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC systems., • Perform mechanical and general facility repairs, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, welding, and roofing tasks., • Support daily plant operations by effectively diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and control systems while following all company policies, procedures, and work instructions., • Maximize equipment reliability by completing work orders and preventive maintenance (PM) tasks efficiently and thoroughly. Proactively initiate work orders based on PM findings., • Participate in facility Continuous Improvement initiatives (5S+, TPM, Setup Reduction, etc.) as needed., • Assist external contractors on plant projects and repair activities., • Perform other related or assigned duties as required., • Operate a full range of tools, including hand tools, power tools (hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches), precision measuring instruments, and electrical/electronic testing devices., • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.Basic Qualifications, • Experience with metal fabrication equipment and processes., • Ability to interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics for troubleshooting., • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing or comparable environment., • At least one (1) year of experience working with electrical systems from 24V to 480V., • Minimum one (1) year of experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including reservoirs, pumps, valves, sensors, cylinders, piping, tubing, hoses, switches, and motors., • Basic computer proficiency, including Windows-based applications., • Must reside within 50 miles of the El Paso, TX facility (no relocation provided)., • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.Preferred Qualifications, • Five (5) or more years of electrical or mechanical maintenance experience., • Ability to program and maintain Ladder Logic (PLC), HMI systems, and basic programming languages., • Strong electrical background., • Two-year technical degree or certification in electronics, electrical power and controls, fluid power, HVAC, or basic PLC programming., • Journeyman-level experience or at least three (3) years of documented industrial electrical/mechanical maintenance experience., • Licensed HVAC Technician, Plumber, and/or Electrician., • Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly environments., • Familiarity with wastewater treatment systems., • Working knowledge of PLC electronic controls., • Basic reading, math, and writing skills in both English and Spanish., • Bilingual (English/Spanish).Additional Information, • Must be able to travel internationally, including to Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Canada., • Ability to work safely and productively with minimal supervision, including performing work at heights with fall protection and following required permits and safety procedures., • Strong understanding of safety standards such as electrical safety, arc flash, and lockout/tagout (LOTO); knowledge of OSHA safety rules preferred., • Advanced skills in one or more areas: hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical, mechanical, PLC troubleshooting and repair., • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, blueprints, schematics, and parts diagrams., • Strong organizational, presentation, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills., • Effective written and verbal communication skills with employees at all levels of the plant., • Ability to work independently in a multitask environment as well as collaboratively within a team., • Physical dexterity and ability to operate equipment, machinery, and computers (Windows, MS Office, and industrial software)., • Familiarity with DC and AC power systems up to three-phase 480V., • Commitment to continuous learning.
