Job Description Job Title: Mechanical Pipefitting Foreman Job Description This role leads the field installation of sheet metal and HVAC piping projects, providing overall direction to crews while ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to project schedules. The Mechanical Pipefitting Foreman interprets plans, coordinates daily activities, and serves as a key point of contact with the general contractor to communicate project scope and progress. Responsibilities • Lead and supervise the field installation of sheet metal and HVAC piping systems from start to completion., • Provide clear direction to a crew of approximately six pipefitters and welders, assigning tasks and monitoring performance., • Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications to lay out work accurately., • Coordinate daily activities, manpower, and materials to meet project milestones and deadlines., • Prepare and maintain manpower loading plans and a rolling two-week look-ahead schedule to anticipate project needs., • Meet regularly with the general contractor to review project scope, address issues, and communicate progress updates., • Complete daily reports documenting work performed, crew hours, and any project-related issues., • Prepare and maintain Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and ensure they are followed on site., • Enforce safety protocols and company safety policies at all times to maintain a safe work environment., • Oversee and participate in pipefitting work, including brazing and soldering on HVAC systems., • Ensure all work meets quality standards, project specifications, and applicable codes., • Identify potential field conflicts or delays and proactively work to resolve them., • At least 10 years of pipefitting experience, specifically on HVAC systems., • Proven experience overseeing and directing a crew of approximately six pipefitters and welders., • Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications., • Hands-on pipefitting skills, including brazing and soldering., • Demonstrated experience in construction environments involving sheet metal and HVAC installations., • Ability to coordinate crews, lay out work, and manage daily field operations., • Experience preparing and maintaining manpower loading plans and two-week look-ahead schedules., • Ability to complete accurate daily reports and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)., • Strong commitment to enforcing and maintaining safety protocols on site., • Effective communication skills to interact with general contractors and field personnel., • Previous foreman or supervisory experience in mechanical, HVAC, or industrial construction., • Experience in commercial, industrial, or energy-related construction projects., • Brazing and soldering proficiency on HVAC piping systems., • Bilingual language skills are a plus., • Ability to work occasional Saturdays when project needs require. Work Environment This is a field-based role with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional Saturday work depending on project needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
