The R&D Laboratory is currently recruiting a Scientist level investigator in developing new in vitro diagnostic (IVD) products. Highly motivated individual who has relevant trainings and working experiences in immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and has passions in developing IVD products, is encouraged to apply. Job Responsibilities and Skills: • Preparing and reviewing regular laboratory protocols and standard operation protocols (SOPs) that will be used for analytical studies related to our existing and new products and for good laboratory practice., • Performing analytical studies for new products developed by R&D teams in our company, including preparing analytical study protocols and providing study reports, • Preparing reports of experimental results and documents required for regulatory registrations, • Establishing platforms for antibody or macromolecule labeling with colloidal gold, latex or other labeling technology in Texas Scientific lab in Houston, • Developing new technological platforms for in vitro diagnostic products, including fluorescent labeling, microfluidics, and microarray, • Performing other job-related duties as may be assigned and managing and supervise lab staff in the daily operational workload., • PhD / MS in immunology, biology or biomedical science related field with >5years research experience in life sciences or medical field are required., • Proven skilled hand-on techniques immunology or molecular biology laboratory. This position will provide direction and supervision for all the complex andrology lab procedures required for infertility care and In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF). Responsibilities: • Provides day-to-day oversight of andrologists and all andrology lab procedures and practices., • Ensure and maintain regulatory compliance with appropriate agencies., • Maintain and monitor quality control measures & clinical data to ensure optimal laboratory performance and pregnancy outcomes., • Develop special expertise in the use of and continual improvement to the laboratory database., • Perform duties in accordance with laboratory policy including: the routine examination and analysis of semen samples after and during treatment cycles; preparation of semen specimens for treatment procedures; sperm cryopreservation procedures., • Data collection and submission for compliance reviews, re-certifications, and submissions of data to specified organizations., • Ensure optimal productivity and efficiency., • Maintain sperm cryopreservation records and storage of cryopreserved sperm., • Develop new techniques and implementing new procedures into the laboratory as clinically necessary, ensuring that all laboratory staff are trained and competent in the new procedures., • Work such hours as may be required for the proper, effective, and timely performance of the andrology laboratory, including weekends, according to the operational needs of the department and in support of the smooth and efficient running of the service., • Maintain quality control and assurance of the laboratory for COLA and CLIA compliance reviews., • Be aware of clinical data outcomes and be able to discuss with the clinical care team and/or physicians., • Ensure that the physical and environmental conditions of the laboratory are appropriate for the testing performed and provide a safe environment in which employees are protected from physical, chemical, and biological hazards., • Coordinate Testicular Sperm Aspirations with outside physicians when required., • Develop and maintain all weekend call schedules for the andrology team., • Contribute to team effort by maintaining an excellent rapport and working relationship between lab team, other departments within practice and the Prelude network, • High school diploma or GED required., • Bachelor's degree in medical or biological sciences strongly preferred., • Andrology Laboratory Scientist (ALS) certification required., • Meet state specific certifications/licensure requirements (e.g. Certified Lab Scientist (CLS) etc), if applicable., • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in human IVF laboratory required. ????
