Job Description Job Title: Warehouse Associate Job Description This role supports a high-performance production team in Huntsville, AL by safely moving materials throughout an industrial facility, assisting machine operators, and performing a variety of manufacturing and warehouse support tasks. The position is critical to maintaining efficient production operations in a specialty materials environment that serves industries such as aerospace and advanced manufacturing. Candidates should be dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working around heavy machinery and metal materials, with prior forklift experience strongly preferred. Responsibilities • Safely operate sit-down forklifts to transport raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished products throughout the facility., • Move products and materials between departments to support production schedules, workflow, and on-time manufacturing output., • Perform fire watch duties during maintenance, welding, or other hot work activities while strictly following all safety procedures., • Assist machine operators with loading, unloading, staging, and handling materials to keep production lines running smoothly., • Load and unload trucks, pallets, and containers using forklifts and manual material handling techniques as needed., • Perform order picking and material handling tasks to ensure the right materials are delivered to the right locations at the right time., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following housekeeping standards and promptly addressing hazards., • Conduct basic visual inspections of materials and equipment to help ensure quality and safety standards are consistently met., • Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and operational procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment., • Support other manufacturing, warehouse, and general labor functions as assigned, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials., • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to coordinate material flow and respond to changing production needs., • Demonstrate dependable attendance and a strong work ethic while contributing positively to a team-oriented environment. Essential Skills • Previous forklift operating experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse environment; certification preferred., • Proven ability to work safely in an industrial or manufacturing setting around machinery, cranes, and production equipment., • Experience in production, warehouse, material handling, or manufacturing support roles preferred., • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and carrying throughout the shift., • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly with supervisors, machine operators, and fellow team members., • Demonstrated reliability, including consistent attendance and adherence to work schedules., • Safety-conscious mindset with a commitment to following established procedures and using required protective equipment., • Willingness to perform a variety of duties and adapt to changing business and production needs., • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and remain focused under time-sensitive conditions. Work Environment This position is based in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing facility that produces advanced specialty metal materials and components used in demanding applications. Employees work around heavy machinery, cranes, forklifts, and metal products while supporting production operations through material movement, machine assistance, and fire watch activities during hot work. The environment requires strict adherence to safety practices and the use of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hard hats, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, and other PPE as needed. Work is performed on-site across structured shifts, with day and night schedules available, and involves extended periods of standing, walking, and performing physical tasks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntsville, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.61 - $21.86/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
