Job DescriptionFacility Maintenance Worker – Job DescriptionPosition Summary The Facility Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of routine and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the building, equipment, and grounds remain safe, clean, and fully operational. This role supports day‑to‑day facility needs, responds to repair requests, and helps maintain a productive work environment. Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Maintenance & Repairs • Perform routine repairs on facility infrastructure including doors, walls, flooring, lighting, and fixtures., • Conduct basic plumbing tasks such as clearing drains, repairing leaks, and replacing fixtures., • Maintain electrical components within scope of non‑licensed work (e.g., replacing bulbs, checking outlets, resetting breakers)., • Complete minor carpentry tasks including patching, painting, and installing shelves or hardware.Preventive Maintenance, • Carry out scheduled inspections of equipment and facility systems to identify issues before they become hazards., • Maintain logs of completed work, inspections, and upcoming maintenance needs., • Ensure tools and equipment are properly cared for, stored, and in safe working condition.Safety & Compliance, • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines; wear required PPE., • Identify, report, and correct unsafe conditions within the facility., • Assist with ensuring the facility complies with relevant safety, health, and environmental standards.Facility Support, • Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and employee repair requests., • Support setup and breakdown for facility events or operational needs (e.g., moving furniture, assembling equipment)., • Perform groundskeeping duties including exterior cleanup, snow/ice removal, or basic landscaping as needed., • Assist with vendor coordination for large repairs or specialized maintenance.QualificationsRequired, • Previous experience in general maintenance, facility repair, or a related field., • Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry practices., • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely., • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks., • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds., • Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently.Preferred, • Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or warehouse environment., • Certification or training in maintenance‑related trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)., • Familiarity with CMS or digital work‑order systems.Work Environment, • Indoor/outdoor facility environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures., • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing ladders., • Occasional overtime or on‑call work may be required.
