Job DescriptionSalary: Warehouse Technician I Elemental Enzymes is looking for a Warehouse Technician to play an integral part in our manufacturing department. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills. They must also be comfortable taking on additional projects and responsibilities as needed to meet goals and deliverables. As the Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including maintaining inventory, shipping, receiving, warehouse management, and order fulfillment. The successful candidate will join a team that is passionate about creating sustainable, biochemical-based solutions to agricultural challenges. Job Description: • Receives incoming materials and conducts initial inspections for damage and conformance to shipping paperwork and purchase orders. Segregates and quarantines non-conforming materials., • Ensures compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations and requirements., • Prepares materials for shipment, utilizing appropriate packaging methods for freight, international, air, and ground shipments. Assists in prioritizing shipments using FIFO/FEFO methods., • Maintains all shipping and receiving processes and records related to manufacturing operations., • Reviews production schedules against inventory levels to identify and resolve potential shortages in order to meet production demands., • Maintains a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse; applies 5S principles to improve workflow and reduce waste., • Conducts daily inspections of powered industrial equipment and maintains inspection records in an orderly manner., • Supports inventory management, including organization, racking, cycle counts, reporting, and reconciliation., • Performs other duties as assigned. Required Experience: • High School Diploma or Equivalent with 2+ years of warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment., • Must have a valid drivers license. Class A CDL preferred., • Must be experienced with operating forklifts and Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs)., • Must be able to work independently and with others to accomplish goals and priorities., • Experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment preferred., • Flexibility in job function and teamwork skills., • High level of energy and regular, consistent attendance., • Excellent oral and written communication skills, • Ability to make informed decisions with little or no direct supervision., • Ability to effectively communicate with Logistics and Freight carriers Physical Demands: • Extending: Extend self in a direction to complete a task., • Stationary Position: Remaining in one position for sustained periods of time., • Moving: Moving to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another., • Fine Motor Skills: Using fingers for tasks such as typing, picking, or pinching, rather than full hand movements., • Transporting: Moving objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. Objects can be up to 50+ pounds in weight regularly., • Manual Handling: Gripping, grasping, or applying pressure to objects using fingers and palms., • Operating: Using tools and equipment including a work computer and other office devices such as printers, calculators, etc., • Repetitive motion: Engaging in recurring movements of the wrists, hands, or fingers, such as typing or assembling components., • Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work requires physical strength and stamina to perform tasks such as loading/unloading materials, lifting, carrying, and operating equipment. Physical Requirements: • Sensory Touch: Assessing the size, shape, texture, or temperature of objects by touch, particularly with fingertips., • Communicating: Expressing or exchanging ideas by spoken word, including providing detailed or critical instructions clearly, quickly, and accurately. Perceiving sound details at normal speaking levels. Alternative methods of communication can be utilized as necessary., • Environmental Exposure: Those with this position must be able to work in Biosafety Level 2 Laboratory where there may be exposure to biological agents. Individuals with immunocompromised systems may be at increased risk in these environments., • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): The worker is required to wear appropriate PPE as necessary for their role, including but not limited to gloves, safety eyewear, lab coats, hearing protections, and respiratory protection depending on the work environment and exposure risks.
