This position will support the hotel manager and hotel team on the day-to-day execution of the F&B strategy such as maintaining the outlet's SOP's, service standards, monitor trends, crowd control, identify training needs for the team, provide support on the floor in all positions and maintain UPBAR's Food Safety Policy and quality. What You Will Be Doing: * Leadership You will: • Lead, encourage, and inspire the team to support the operational procedures of the UPBAR., • Ensure a sound understanding of UPBAR brand values., • Coach and train employees, develop and nurture talent, provide feedback and monthly evaluations., • Demonstrate excellent problem analysis skills and decision making., • Create shift schedules, always ensure adequate staffing levels, and ensure daily opening and closing duties are performed., • Be responsible for your own personal planning and work organization., • Welcome our guests and ensure the ideal guest experience throughout the rooftop., • Maintain the environment to ensure a clean and comfortable experience., • Handle reservations and process administrative matters., • Maintain proper lighting and sound levels throughout the night., • Prepare outside space adequately for weather conditions., • Provide strong support behind the bar, from cocktail knowledge to batching schedules, maintaining recipes, managing guest's orders and optimize guest flow., • Manage wine and beverage program., • Provide support to the team on all areas at the rooftop from managing reservations for the night, to making sure the space is cleaned and all guests are tended to., • Ensure kitchen is always maintained clean and organized., • Ensure proper food storage, temperatures and handling are always to code., • Work with the Point-of-Sale system; being able to add items, update pricing and run reports., • Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge and guarantee quality., • Perform daily pre-shift meetings and review standards., • Seek opportunities to generate revenue while providing added value to our guests., • Coordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering to ensure all guest spaces are in top condition., • Report daily UPBAR revenue and be responsible for the handling of cash., • Manage the purchasing of all food and beverage items and kitchen operating equipment., • Manage stock in line with fluctuating levels of business, minimizing waste., • Ensure pour specifications, portion control and recipe adherence. The Ideal Candidate: • At least two years bar management experience is required.
