Job Description Production Technician for Assembly - Mass Production of Compressors Job Title: Production Worker/Assembler Department: Assembly Industry: HVAC Units & Compressors Manufacturing Shift Information: (2nd Shift): Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-1:00am Pay Rate: $19.80 per hour, depending on experience and shift Position Summary The Assembler supports the production of compressors by assembling components using hand tools and following detailed work instructions. This role focuses on mechanical assembly, part fitment, and quality checks to ensure compressors meet production and safety standards. After completing training on 2nd shift, the employee transitions to a regular 3rd shift schedule. Key Responsibilities • Assemble compressor components and sub‑assemblies using hand and power tools according to work instructions and specifications., • Read and follow written instructions, diagrams, and production documentation to complete assemblies accurately., • Install mechanical parts, fittings, and fasteners while ensuring proper alignment and secure connections., • Perform visual inspections and basic quality checks to verify correct assembly and identify defects or issues., • Stage and move parts and completed compressor assemblies to designated production or shipping areas., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe assembly workstation in accordance with facility standards., • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and manufacturing guidelines at all times. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. At least 1 year of experience in assembly, warehouse operations, or manufacturing (HVAC sector experience is a plus). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic computer skills for inventory systems, data entry, and shipping documentation. Work Environment Fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Regular interaction with forklifts, pallet jacks, and industrial equipment. Must follow all safety rules and wear required PPE.
