Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description Join our team as a Warehouse Worker, where you will primarily operate a boom lift or forklift within our warehouse environment. Your main duties will include receiving trucks from distribution centers multiple times a week, assisting with packing out job orders accurately, and loading and unloading shipments. You will also handle UPS pack outs and work with materials such as tile and granite pieces throughout the day. Responsibilities • Safely operate forklift/boom lift according to training methods and procedures., • Handle slabs and safely load/unload customer vehicles following branch-specific instructions., • Load and unload commercial trucks, containers, and trailers according to branch-specific instructions., • Pull correct slabs for orders, stage them correctly, and manage associated paperwork.Essential Skills, • Minimum of 2 years of prior sit-down forklift experience., • Experience in a physically demanding environment with regular lifting of 75+ lbs., • Safety-oriented mindset with comfort operating a 5000-pound forklift or boom lift.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Bilingual English & Spanish preferred., • Must have own steel-toed shoes.Why Work Here? Work Environment The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:25am to 5pm, with potential overtime averaging ~5 hours per week and occasional Saturday shifts. The work environment includes exposure to outside weather conditions when loading trucks in the tile yard. Inside, the warehouse is not climate-controlled but equipped with large fans for cooling. Employees will work near material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes, and be exposed to packaged cement-based products, grouts, and chemicals for tile and stone. The noise level is typically moderate. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
