    Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and caring Behavior Technician (BT) to join our growing team. In this role, you will work one-on-one with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities, implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Responsibilities • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by a BCBA, • Provide one-on-one therapy in home, clinic, school, or community settings, • Collect accurate data on client progress, • Assist clients in developing communication, social, daily living, and coping skills, • Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, • Collaborate with supervisors, families, and team members, • Participate in ongoing training and team meetings Preferred Experience We strongly encourage applicants with experience in the following roles to apply: • Special Needs Teacher, • Special Education Teacher, • Paraprofessional, • Teacher or Teacher Assistant, • Daycare Worker or Childcare Provider, • ABA Therapist or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), • Direct Support Professional (DSP), • Youth Counselor, • Early Intervention Specialist Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges is highly valued. Qualifications • High school diploma required (Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or related field preferred), • Experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, • Ability to remain patient, professional, and compassionate, • Reliable transportation (if required for travel), • Ability to pass background check, • RBT certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire)

Brooklyn RISE is a small school serving 380 students K-7, and we are growing by one grade level each year until we are a fully enrolled K-8 charter school of 430 students in SY2026. We are expanding our team of passionate, adaptive, and detail-oriented educators united behind our mission – building the knowledge, skills, and mindsets for academic success, ensuring all of our students are on the path to college. ob Summary The Kindergarten Teacher position is a full-time co-teaching position. All Brooklyn RISE teachers are responsible for intellectual preparation for each lesson, building strong and positive relationships with students and families, using data to tailor their instruction, and actively engaging in collaboration with their colleagues.
