Job Description As a Food and Beverage Host/Hostess, you are the first associate our guests will encounter. You will assist the servers in seating tables to distribute guests to manageable levels to improve each dining experience. The host/hostess has a solid understanding of the dining room layout and flow of service steps involved. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, professionalism, and guest satisfaction are top priorities. β’ Greet and direct guests promptly, cheerfully, and professionally to their table., β’ Prepare dining areas before each meal by setting tables, arranging chairs, and ensuring cleanliness throughout., β’ Assist in bussing and resetting tables quickly and efficiently to prepare for incoming guests., β’ Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the dining room, service stations, and work areas throughout the shift., β’ Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and local sanitation requirements., β’ Support other food service areas and perform side work such as restocking supplies, polishing flatware, and prepping condiments., β’ Handle guest complaints or issues with a calm, solution-oriented approach; escalate to supervisor if needed., β’ Maintain a neat, professional appearance in full uniform with nametag; long hair must be tied back securely., β’ Follow all operational policies and hotel safety procedures., β’ Obtain and maintain any required food handler certification training., β’ Always represent the hotel in a positive and professional mannerβSMILE! ???? PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: β’ Must be able to walk and stand throughout the duration of a shift, β’ Occasionally lifting, carrying 5-10lbs throughout the shift., β’ Able to up to lift 25-50 pounds occasionally, β’ Able to bend and kneel occasionally to help maintain cleanliness throughout QUALIFICATIONS: Previous food service or hospitality experience preferred but not required. β’ Friendly, enthusiastic, and able to engage with guests naturally and professionally., β’ Strong multitasking and time management skills in a fast-paced environment., β’ Able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately., β’ Team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail., β’ Must be able to communicate effectively in English; bilingual abilities are a plus., β’ Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
