Job Description EMPLOYEE RELATIONS SPECIALIST Full-Time | In-Office | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY A respected, mission-driven organization in Lubbock is seeking a knowledgeable Employee Relations Specialist to join its Human Resources team. This role is responsible for fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies, and serving as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees on sensitive personnel matters. This is an ideal opportunity for an HR professional with strong experience in employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution who thrives in a collaborative, service-oriented environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide guidance to supervisors and employees on workplace issues, performance concerns, conduct matters, and policy interpretation, • Administer corrective action processes and performance management programs to ensure consistency and compliance, • Conduct thorough, objective workplace investigations and document findings clearly and professionally, • Partner with leadership to develop performance improvement plans and coaching strategies, • Serve as a neutral resource during conflict resolution discussions and employee meetings, • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with HR standards and legal requirements, • Monitor employee relations trends and recommend proactive solutions to reduce risk and strengthen engagement, • Assist with development, interpretation, and communication of HR policies and procedures, • Support employee engagement, retention initiatives, and organizational development efforts, • Deliver or coordinate training for supervisors on documentation, coaching, compliance, and conflict management, • Ensure adherence to applicable employment laws, regulations, and internal standards, • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required (or equivalent experience), • Proven experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations, • Strong working knowledge of employment law, disciplinary procedures, and HR best practices, • Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, etc.) preferred, • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism, • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple cases and deadlines Salary Range: $62,500 - $72,500 annually, depending on experience Work Schedule: In-office, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM BENEFITS HIGHLIGHTS This position offers a robust and competitive benefits package, which may include: • Paid Time Off (PTO) beginning in the first year, • Paid holidays and premium holiday pay, • Retirement plan with employer matching, • Medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision insurance options, • Health Savings Account (HSA) contributions for eligible plans, • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA & Limited FSA), • Employer-paid basic life and AD&D coverage, • Long-term disability coverage, • Employee Assistance Program (EAP), • Mileage reimbursement, • Jury duty, bereavement, military leave, and extended wellness leave programs
