Job DescriptionJob Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains industrial equipment with a focus on injection molding machinery. This role works with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, performs preventative maintenance, and programs or modifies PLC logic to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently. Responsibilities • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues on a variety of industrial machinery., • Set up, adjust, and maintain injection molding machines, including mold setup and changeovers., • Access, program, and/or modify PLC logic as needed to diagnose issues and complete repairs., • Perform routine and scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime., • Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before they lead to equipment failure., • Maintain and service hydraulics, pumps, air compressors, motors, chillers, and valves., • Diagnose and resolve issues related to electrical systems and PLC controls in a hands-on manner., • Follow written and verbal instructions to complete maintenance tasks accurately and on time., • Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment status and repair needs as required., • Support a clean, organized, and safe work area by following housekeeping and safety procedures., • Meet deadlines for maintenance tasks and respond promptly to urgent repair requests., • Collaborate with production and other team members to minimize equipment downtime and improve reliability.Essential Skills, • 6 months to 1 year of hands-on injection molding experience, including setup and maintenance., • At least 1 year of PLC and electrical experience in an industrial environment., • A minimum of 6 months of preventative maintenance experience on production equipment., • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems., • Practical experience with maintenance on injection molding machines., • Hands-on experience with hydraulics, pumps, air compressors, motors, chillers, and valves., • Ability to access, understand, and modify PLC logic for troubleshooting and repair., • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills in an industrial setting., • Ability to follow directions accurately and complete tasks within required timelines., • Capability to troubleshoot and resolve PLC-related issues on the shop floor.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience performing setup and maintenance on industrial machinery., • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within mold setting., • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial repair practices., • Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting., • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with production and maintenance teams., • Reliability and strong attendance to support consistent production operations.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role operates in an industrial manufacturing environment focused on injection molding operations. Work is performed on-site around production machinery, including injection molding machines, hydraulics, pumps, air compressors, motors, chillers, and valves. Multiple shifts are available: 1st shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with possible overtime on some Saturdays; 2nd shift runs from 3:10 p.m. to 11:40 p.m. Monday through Friday with possible overtime on some Saturdays; and 3rd shift runs from 11:20 p.m. to 7:20 a.m. Sunday through Thursday with possible overtime on Fridays. New hires train on day shift for approximately 6 to 12 months, depending on experience, to become familiar with equipment, procedures, and safety practices. The environment emphasizes cleanliness and safety, and team members work in close proximity to running equipment, following all safety and housekeeping standards appropriate for an industrial setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
