The Electrical & Controls Design Manager serves as the company's technical leader for electrical and automation system design across manufacturing facilities, providing oversight of capital projects, engineering standards, controls architecture, and system optimization. This is a functional leadership role with responsibility for providing technical direction, engineering standards, and consultant oversight across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role leads the review and approval of electrical and controls designs, including PLC architecture, SCADA systems, network infrastructure, power distribution, and industrial automation systems. This role supports capital projects, facility expansions, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts across Primo Brands manufacturing operations. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $101,388 - $144,715 annually Bonus: This role is eligible for an annual bonus. Travel: Up to 50%, including periodic site visits to manufacturing facilities and project locations. Initial travel may include up to two days per week, three times per month, until system understanding is achieved. Health Benefits: Medical, prescription, dental, vision, flexible spending account (FSA), dependent care flexible spending account (FSA), health savings account (HSA) Retirement/Investing: 401K with a 5% match, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) Insurance: Employee Life Insurance, short and long-term disability, critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, spouse/domestic partner/child life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment Other great benefits: Employee discounts, save on auto, home, and pet insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation and sick time, 9 paid holidays and 3 paid floating holidays, paid leave for when you have a baby, adopt a child, or become a foster parent, legal services, identity theft protection, employee assistance program (EAP), adoption reimbursement benefit, FEDlogic, commuter benefits Responsibilities Responsibilities • Manage outside design consultants to ensure cost, schedule, and design standards are met., • Review new line and facility documentation, including one-line diagrams, network architecture, control panel design, device layouts, sequence of operation, and scopes of work., • Manage electrical design firm qualification, selection, and hiring through the RFP process., • Manage electrical contractor qualification and hiring., • Drive continuous cost and quality improvements in system designs and maintain up-to-date knowledge of leading-edge technologies that support business needs., • Maintain electrical and controls specifications., • Negotiate the purchase of electrical equipment, including switchgear, PDPs, and PLC controls., • Assist project management with design solutions for field issues., • Serve in a functional leadership role that interacts closely with and supports Operations, Quality Assurance, Innovation & Renovation, Marketing, and Logistics with electrical system design and optimization., • Manage external engineering firms and contractors to ensure successful execution of assigned projects., • Leverage technical expertise to support factory operations, system optimization, and troubleshooting activities., • Report directly to the Engineering Group Manager - Facilities and Electrical, with support responsibility to project managers., • Travel up to 50%, including periodic site visits to manufacturing facilities and project locations. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered., • 5-10 years of experience implementing projects in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment., • Strong technical, managerial, and leadership ability, with exceptional facilitation and communication skills., • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills., • Highly organized, self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal direct supervision., • Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in project teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously., • Proficiency with common software platforms, including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint), and AutoCAD for the preparation of presentation and working documents., • Working knowledge and/or development experience with Allen-Bradley PLC code and DeviceNet programming., • Working knowledge and/or development experience with SCADA programming, including GE Fanuc/Intellution and/or Wonderware., • Working knowledge of networks, including industrial networks and controls-related infrastructure., • Authorization to work in the United States is required; employment sponsorship is not available.Preferred Qualifications / Technical Experience, • Allen-Bradley PLCs, • SCADA systems, • Industrial networks, • Electrical design, • Controls engineering, • Automation systems, • AutoCAD, • Manufacturing engineering, • Capital project management, • Food & beverage manufacturing Primo Brands’ established portfolio includes billion-dollar brands Poland Spring® and Pure Life®, premium brands like Saratoga® and Mountain Valley®, regional leaders such as Arrowhead®, Deer Park®, Ice Mountain® Ozarka®, and Zephyrhills®, purified brands, Primo Water® and Sparkletts®, and flavored and enhanced brands like Splash® and AC+ION®.
