Visit our website to learn more about our organization: Job Description El Buen seeks a Senior Data Analyst to serve as a strategic and technical leader who advances El Buen’s organizational data strategy and drives measurable impact through equity-informed analytics and evaluation frameworks. The position ensures the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of El Buen’s data systems, transforming evidence into insight that guides strategy, improves outcomes, and amplifies community voice. Purpose As a key member of the Strategy, Innovation, and Impact team, the Senior Data Analyst strengthens analytic infrastructure, builds staff capacity, and cultivates a culture of learning and accountability across the organization. The role delivers strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to leadership and program teams, ensuring that El Buen’s decisions are informed by evidence and aligned with community priorities. While innovation remains central to this role, it is pursued in service of impact advancing ethical data practices, developing new analytic tools, and improving systems that increase El Buen’s reach, efficiency, and equity outcomes. The Senior Data Analyst upholds the highest standards of data ethics and representation, ensuring that all analytic work honors the dignity, voice, and lived experience of the communities El Buen serves. This is a full-time, exempt position based at El Buen headquarters, generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The role requires flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and special events as needed. Following a three-month probationary period, employees are eligible to work one day per week remotely, or up to two days per week if commuting from a location more than one hour from the office. Employees are expected to attend all staff training, professional development activities, and in-person organizational events. What You Will be Doing: Scope • Lead data analytics and evaluation efforts across multiple and diverse program areas encompassing health, education, workforce, essential needs (food access, financial assistance), and other social services., • Provide data and analytic leadership and capacity-building support to staff members across departments through training, collaboration, and reporting., • Lead the collection, validation, and integration of data across programs and systems (e.g., Salesforce, Apricot, Power BI) to ensure accuracy, transparency, and cross-organizational alignment., • Contribute to the development and execution of El Buen’s data strategy, ensuring analytics directly support strategic goals, funding priorities, and systems-change initiatives., • Design and maintain enterprise-level dashboards and reports that monitor outcomes, equity indicators, and organizational performance., • Implement and oversee data governance standards, including documentation, access protocols, and data dictionaries to promote consistency and compliance., • Produce regular and ad hoc analyses and reports for executive leadership, funders, and community partners that inform decisions and demonstrate impact.Analysis, Insight Generation & Evaluation (30%), • Conduct advanced quantitative and qualitative analyses to evaluate program outcomes, population-level trends, and equity impacts., • Apply mixed-methods and community-informed approaches to ensure data interpretation reflects participant experiences and community voice., • Translate findings into clear, actionable insights that guide program design, funding strategy, and policy., • Develop and manage equity dashboards to track disparities, progress, and systemic outcomes., • Lead or co-develop logic models, evaluation frameworks, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that align with organizational goals., • Provide evidence and data visualization for proposals, funder reports, and leadership presentations.Collaboration, Capacity Building & Partnership (25%), • Serve as a strategic data partner to the Chief of Strategy, Innovation, and Impact (CISI), Chief Executive Officer, program leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure consistency of metrics and evaluation., • Lead training, coaching, and capacity-building initiatives that enhance staff data literacy, dashboard use, and understanding of outcome measurement., • Collaborate with academic, public sector, and community partners on joint data and evaluation projects, ensuring equitable and ethical data sharing., • Represent El Buen at data collaboratives, regional evaluation forums, and systems-change initiatives, positioning the organization as a leader in equitable data use.Systems, Innovation & Knowledge Sharing (10%), • Drive continuous improvement in data workflows, automation, and visualization to increase efficiency and accessibility across the organization., • Evaluate and recommend technologies, data tools, or research methods to enhance analytic capacity., • Maintain awareness of emerging trends in data equity, participatory evaluation, and nonprofit analytics, and share learnings to inform internal practice., • Anticipates organizational-level data challenges and develops innovative, sustainable solutions that support El Buen’s strategic goals., • Implement innovative, ethical, and culturally grounded data governance frameworks.Other (5%), • Participate in cross-departmental initiatives, strategic planning, and organizational committees., • Support El Buen’s emergency response efforts by ensuring rapid deployment of data collection and reporting systems when community crises arise., • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred., • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in data analysis, performance measurement, or evaluation, ideally in a nonprofit, education, or public health setting., • Proven record of developing and maintaining dashboards, conducting advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis, and presenting findings to inform executive and programmatic decisions., • Strong proficiency in SQL and one or more analytical or visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Python, or R)., • Experience managing or integrating data across Salesforce, Apricot, or other case management and reporting platforms., • Demonstrated experience leading data governance, data literacy, or evaluation capacity-building initiatives within a mission-driven organization.Skills & Abilities, • Mastery in data cleaning, management, and statistical analysis;
