About This Role The Report Developer plays a critical role in enhancing SEIU 775's data reporting and analytics capabilities. This position involves the development, implementation, and maintenance of reporting solutions that support data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in report development tools, possesses a strong analytical background, and is passionate about transforming data into actionable insights. Essential Functions: • Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using reporting tools such as Salesforce, Power BI, or similar platforms., • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver comprehensive reporting solutions that meet business needs., • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used in reports through thorough validation and testing processes., • Optimize existing reports and processes for performance and efficiency., • Provide technical support and training to users on accessing and interpreting report data., • Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in reporting and data analysis to continually enhance reporting capabilities., • Lead the development and continuous refinement of SEIU 775's standard development lifecycle., • Identify and lead efforts to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality., • Individual will be hands-on and contributing to project deliverables, • May be required to do political work for candidates and member political education as part of job duties., • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle)., • Strong skills in report development tools such as SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar., • Ability to translate business requirements into effective reporting solutions., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail., • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders., • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field., • 1-3 years of experience in report development or a similar analytical role., • Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and maintaining reports and dashboards., • Solid understanding of data modeling and database design principles., • Professional office or hybrid work environment with collaboration across departments and technical teams, • Regular use of computers, databases, and reporting tools (e.g., Salesforce, Power BI, SQL Server) for extended periods, • Frequent virtual and in-person meetings with stakeholders to discuss reporting needs and data solutions, • Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment requiring strong organization, accuracy, and attention to detail, • Occasional extended hours or weekend work during major reporting cycles or system updates, • Work involves handling sensitive and confidential organizational data requiring discretion and adherence to data security standards, • Work performed primarily at a desk or workstation involving prolonged computer and screen use, • Extended periods of sitting, typing, and reviewing reports or data visualizations, • Occasional standing, walking, or presenting during team meetings or trainings, • Minimal physical exertion; occasional lifting or movement of office equipment or materials up to 25 pounds, • Standard office environment with moderate noise levels and regular use of phones, printers, and other office technology, • May require occasional travel for meetings, training, or collaboration with other teams Compensation: Providing current or previous salary information is optional and will not be factored into hiring decisions. Prospective Employees covered by the CBA can request a copy of the wage scale, the CBA, and any current relevant MOUs upon application to the position. This position is full-time, exempt. This position is included in the Bargaining Unit. Pay ranges from $81,141 – $96,972 per year.
