Summary Take a key role in conducting field investigations, performing specialized inspections, executing materials testing, managing project workflows, and delivering clear, timely, and professional reports. Responsibilities • Project management of construction special inspections and material testing assignments., • Perform special inspections and material testing as needed., • Report preparation and review., • Supervise and support project team., • Implement quality assurance of field and laboratory adherence to technical standards and applicable codes., • Engage in continuing education to keep certifications current. Qualifications, • HS Diploma required., • Degree in Civil Engineering / Technology, Geology, or related is ideal, although necessary., • Must possess at least one International Code Council (ICC) Certification for one of the following Special Inspector Categories: reinforced concrete, soils, masonry, spray applied fireproofing, steel & bolt or steel & weld, or American Concrete Institute (ACI) Grade 1, or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate through a State Board., • Functional knowledge of industry practices an regulations, NYS Building Code, and engineering standards., • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with managers, teammates, and clients, through clear communications and proactive progress reporting., • Proficient with MS Excel, Outlook, Word.
