Position Summary: The BCBA is responsible for conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and developing effective, individualized interventions for individuals with autism and behavior challenges. About the Role In order to achieve its ambition of serving 80,000–100,000 Fellows over the next decade, Braven is hiring a Head of Program Design who will own the evolution, quality, and integrity of every program experience Braven puts in front of students, volunteers, and staff, serving as both the lead builder and the person responsible for setting the standards for how those experiences are designed. Everything the Design team builds is in service of that equation. As the leader of the Design team and a member of the Product Leadership Team, you will translate evidence from Braven's research and real-time signals from the field into high-quality, pedagogically sound program assets and learning sequences that can be delivered across dozens of campuses with varying academic lengths (e.g., semester, quarter, summer school, etc.) at scale. You hold the line on adult learning best practices regardless of timeline pressure or competing priorities, and you ensure that every staff member and volunteer who facilitates a Braven program experience understands both what they're teaching and why it's built the way it is. Title: EHS Manager Department: Health and Environmental Safety Reports To: Director, Environmental Health and Safety Position Type: Staff Position Summary: Providing a safe and healthful work environment for NJIT students, faculty, staff, and guests is a core value of the department. Similarly, achieving a high level of compliance with the numerous Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations, guidelines, statutes, and standards is a priority. As the NJIT research portfolio has expanded in recent years, and new faculty hires have implemented more complex research initiatives, the EHS department requires the expertise needed to help facilitate safe and compliant research on the NJIT campus. Reporting to the Director, the Environmental Health and Safety Manager will develop, implement, and administer those EHS programs required to assure occupational safety, life safety, and environmental compliance across the spectrum of NJIT operations. Primary responsibilities include fostering a "culture of safety" across all operational disciplines of NJIT and among NJIT students, faculty, and staff. The incumbent will be principally responsible for providing a wide variety of EHS services; overseeing routine and non-routine EHS projects, investigations, and inspections; maintaining accurate recordkeeping; generating professional EHS reports; liaising with the EHS regulatory community; and providing follow up documentation to all levels of the NJIT community. Essential Functions: Program Development and Implementation: Review relevant regulations and guidelines as well as currently implemented programs to develop and implement improved, up-to-date, and compliant programs in various areas of environmental health, occupational safety, and life safety. Sampling: Collect environmental/industrial hygiene samples in support of EHS investigations and inspections. Calibration and use of multiple direct-read electronic instruments as well as air and bioaerosol sampling devices. Interpretation of sampling results and incorporation of results into EHS reports and summaries. Collection of drinking water samples in support of NJIT's drinking water sampling protocol and posting of sampling results on the EHS website. SPORTS & GAMES SPECIALIST ROLE & KEY TASKS As the Sports Head, you will report directly to the Programming Assistant Director and Camp Leadership Team and serve as the primary leader and decision-maker for all core sports programming at your camp site. You are responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing a high-quality, developmentally appropriate sports program that serves campers Pre-K through middle school, while supporting and coaching Sports & Games Specialists and Camp Counselors. This role is strategic, instructional, and leadership-intensive. The Sports Head owns the structure, quality, safety, and progression of camp sports programming and plays a critical role in staff development, camper experience, and overall camp operations. You must be physically present, highly organized, and confident leading both children and adults in a fast-paced camp environment. Sports Heads are senior leaders and role models who bring Kids in the Game’s core values to life every day while setting the standard for sports instruction, professionalism, and youth development across camp. We currently have 12 New York based camp locations and 1 Jersey City camp location. The sites and addresses are:Jersey City:118 Ferry St. Jersey City, NJ 07307 You must be able to arrive by 7:45am daily via public transportation or personal transportation (car) and stay on-site until 4:15pm daily (and until 5:30pm twice per week to support after care activities).
