What is a Sports Specialist: The Sports Specialist for the summer after-school program will design and lead engaging physical activities that promote teamwork, fitness, and skill development. They will create a fun and inclusive environment where students of all abilities can participate and build confidence through sports. Additionally, they will ensure safety, provide coaching, and foster a positive learning experience for all participants. What will you do: • Build strong relationships with and among students, • Teach or co-lead daily activities, • Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students, • Participate in ongoing professional development activities, • Prepare materials for daily activities, • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests, • Support the coordination of program events, • Input data and prepare reports, • Administer pre and post-assessments and evaluations for student activities, • Other duties may be assigned.
