Job Summary: The Director of Equipment Operations at LaserAway will be responsible for overseeing medical equipment operations, evaluating field demand and activity, leveraging field analytics to guide machine procurement, and creating agendas for the refurbishment team. Collaborate with the Expansion team and communicate effectively to meet all growth demands. This includes communication with all field service Directors to ensure operational efficiency, and the warehouse logistics team for receiving, storing, and shipping operations. This role will guide the Procurement Specialist, ensuring all ordering processes are conducted efficiently and promptly for all equipment and components. Responsibilities also include maintaining the department budget, conducting cost-saving analysis, and performing routine assessments. The position will oversee production in the refurbishing shop, oversee electrical component repairs, maintain high productivity, reduce costs and repair times, prioritize agendas based on business requirements, maintain troubleshooting guides, and uphold safe workshop practices for the team. This role will support company growth and strategically expand the division in alignment with operational needs. Supervisory Responsibilities: • Prepare weekly reports on repair shop production, buyer activity, warehouse activity, field demand, and escalations, • Create and maintain SOPs, troubleshooting guides, workplace processes, and safety protocols, • Manage fleet vehicle registrations, insurance, and maintenance, • Oversee departmental budget, • Build relationships and negotiate costs with equipment manufacturers and suppliers, • Meet project and repair deadlines; ensure effective team/management communication, • Conduct routine risk assessments for safety, • Assess and order field inventory, • Conduct routine employee evaluations, • Foster a positive work environment, • Propose and manage work condition/process improvements, • Professionally address non-work-related topics, • Lead by example (dress code, communication, support), • Self-sufficient and creating a work schedule, • Support repair shop agendas when needed, • Apply progressive discipline when needed for the team, • Excellent day-to-day prioritization skills, • Apply attention to detail to repair shop production and field demand assessments, • Communicate professionally through email or any communication, • Communicate effectively using the Slack platform, • Ability to escalate issues to management during high-impact situations, • Exceptional Time Management, • Ability to lead meetings and create team agendas as needed, • Maintain a professional appearance to display LaserAway standards, • Ability to professionally address recommendations to management, • Proficient computer skills, including the use of Google Docs, Microsoft Office, and spreadsheets etc, • 7-10+ years of related experience is required at a minimum, • Required Education: Bachelor's degree in the following fields, • Business, Management, Manufacturing, Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance Production, Electrical Engineering, or Engineering, • Experience with managing workshop production, • Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization abilities, • Experience with electrical safety and theory, • Maintain a clean driving record and valid identification, • Critical Thinking skills, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Must maintain a valid driver's license to support equipment transportation needs, • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, • Strong supervisory and leadership skills, • Conduct video meetings with a professional appearance, • Ability to multitask and manage all teams in warehouse, • Ability to stand for periods exceeding up to 4 hours, • Ability to move or transport equipment in a warehouse up to 250lbs, • Ability to load and unload equipment in a company vehicle with a ramp inclined at 25 degrees, • Flexibility to cover all teams during time off, emergencies, or as requested by management, • Ability to monitor communication platforms during emergency situations before, during, and after operations, • Professional Growth: We invest in your success.
