Job Description Job Type: Part-Time Pay: $20.06 per hour Status: Non-exempt / hourly Location: Carson, CA Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: 1:00pm–5:00pm Wednesday and Friday: 12:00pm–5:00pm Day Porter (Custodian / Janitorial Technician) Getty Team is looking for a Custodian / Janitorial Technician who takes pride in the details most people overlook. This is not just a “take out the trash and mop the floor” position. We are looking for someone who notices when stainless steel does not look completely uniform, when dust is collecting on artificial plants, when buildup is forming behind fixtures, when corners are being missed, and when a space looks “clean enough” but not truly finished. The right person for this role is bothered by the small things — in a good way. They notice smudges on doors, streaks on glass, dust on ledges, fingerprints on appliances, and the areas that 99% of people may never look at but still reflect the quality of the facility. We are also looking for someone who wants to learn the “why” behind the work — the difference between neutral, alkaline, and acidic cleaners; when a disinfectant is appropriate; how to read an SDS; why certain products can restore surfaces while others can damage them; and how small technique improvements can make a big difference. Routine cleaning is the foundation. But we are especially interested in people who want to continuously improve, take ownership of their work, and find small daily or weekly projects that make the facility cleaner, sharper, and better over time.
