Position may require exposure to cleaning chemicals. ● Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of classrooms, offices, hallways, break areas, and common spaces ● Police the exterior grounds daily to remove trash and debris and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming appearance around the facility. ● Floor Care and Training Center Janitorial Support ○ Perform routine janitorial duties at the Goodwill Training Center, including trash removal, restroom cleaning, surface cleaning, and restocking supplies. ○ Complete floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, spot cleaning, buffing, and other basic floor maintenance to keep the facility clean, safe, and presentable. ○ Monitor the condition of floors and report any damage, hazards, or maintenance needs. Safety and Facility Support: ● Help maintain a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. ● Report maintenance, safety, or security concerns promptly to the appropriate supervisor ● Assist with room setup and breakdown for meetings, events, and school activities ● Help keep entryways, walkways, and exterior access areas clean and free of debris ● Assist with monitoring building conditions and identifying issues that may affect school operations Qualifications: ● Previous custodial, janitorial, porter, or general building maintenance experience preferred ● Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment ● Ability to perform minor maintenance and repair tasks safely and effectively ● Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently ● Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills ● Ability to maintain professionalism in a school environment serving adult learners Physical Requirements: ● Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time ● Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift as needed ● Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds ● Ability to push carts, move supplies, and operate standard custodial equipment ● Ability to safely use cleaning products, tools, and basic maintenance equipmen
