Job Description We are seeking a Janitor/Custodial Worker to join our team in Rochester, New York! You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment. Responsibilities: • Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition, • Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors and shampooing rugs, • Heavy trash removal, • General cleaning of hallways and stairways, • Floor care and carpet cleaning, • Restroom cleaning, • General office cleaning and disinfecting, • Office floor care and elevator cleaning, • Snow removal and landscaping, • Perform routine maintenance tasks, • Organize custodial closets and spaces, • Maintain the working condition of the cleaning equipment Qualifications: • Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of verifiable experience in the custodial maintenance field, including knowledge of applicable safety practices and procedures relevant to the janitorial industry, • Furthermore, candidates should demonstrate:, • Proficiency in the methods, techniques, materials, and equipment utilized in cleaning and maintenance within the janitorial sector., • Skillful operation of cleaning equipment, tools, materials, and supplies., • Competence in proper maintenance techniques and the ability to perform daily and routine janitorial tasks promptly., • Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, colleagues, and the public., • The physical ability to work in dusty, dirty, wet, and cold conditions, and to lift and transport heavy objects, equipment, supplies, furniture, recycling materials, and waste., • Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or other related fields, • Strong attention to detail, • Strong organizational skills Compensation: $24.00 per hour Equal Opportunity Employer Company DescriptionMission: To create opportunities for people with barriers to economic well-being.
