Job Details Assignment Type: Locum Tenens (Contract) – locum tenens anesthesia Location: Staten Island, NY 10310 – Staten Island, New York City, NY healthcare Setting: Hospital – Obstetric (OB) and general anesthesia cases Shifts per Week: 3 Shift Duration: 12-hour overnight shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) – overnight CRNA jobs Assignment Length: 6 months (March 2026 – August 2026) Number of Openings: 6 Charting System: iPro and paper Supervision: MD supervision of CRNAs (3:1 ratio) Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Required Compensation: Estimated weekly pay range: $6,330 - $6,670 Job Requirements Current license as a registered professional nurse valid in New York State Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia education program Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists At least 1 year of CRNA experience required; obstetric anesthesia (OB) experience preferred Experience with regional and neuraxial anesthesia, airway management, and perioperative monitoring preferred Ability to work overnight shifts and provide weekend/holiday coverage as needed Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills in high-acuity settings Responsibilities Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and verify informed consent for OB and general surgical patients Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and perioperative plans with patients and families Induce, maintain, and emerge patients from anesthesia for obstetric and general surgical cases Monitor patients’ physiological status and intervene promptly to ensure patient safety Perform clinical interventions such as regional anesthesia, neuraxial techniques, and advanced airway management Collaborate with supervising physicians, obstetric teams, and perioperative staff to optimize maternal and perioperative outcomes Complete accurate documentation in iPro and paper charts in a timely manner This locum tenens CRNA position is ideal for anesthesia professionals seeking overnight shifts and hands-on OB experience in a supportive, high-acuity hospital environment.
