Role Summary As a Commercial Field Superintendent, you will manage installation crews, ensure compliance with construction schedules, and uphold safety and quality standards. You will be the on-site representative responsible for coordinating scopes, resolving field conflicts, and providing professional communication to General Contractors throughout each project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities • Manage daily operations of commercial flooring installation projects from mobilization through closeout., • Serve as the primary on-site liaison between Contract Floorworks, General Contractors, and other subcontractors., • Maintain project timelines, manpower allocation, and sequencing in alignment with critical path schedules., • Conduct field measurements, verify substrate conditions, and ensure readiness prior to installation., • Oversee material deliveries, equipment logistics, and warehouse coordination., • Enforce commercial safety standards, including site-specific policies, PPE usage, and OSHA compliance., • Review construction documents, architectural drawings, finish schedules, and change directives for accuracy., • Maintain daily jobsite reports, photo documentation, and progress updates., • Identify conflicts (other trades, slab conditions, moisture issues, elevation changes, etc.) and escalate solutions before impacts occur., • Participate in GC coordination meetings, punch walks, and turnover procedures., • Ensure installations comply with manufacturer specifications, ASTM standards, and project requirements., • Conduct field inspections and punch lists for quality control., • Manage labor resources based on project needs and timelines., • Attend GC progress and coordination meetings., • Validate installation conditions and substrate readiness., • Ensure adherence to floor flatness, moisture testing, and building standards., • 3–5 years of commercial construction supervision experience required; flooring background strongly preferred., • 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role, • Proficiency in reading commercial construction plans, finish schedules, and architectural drawings., • Knowledge of substrate prep, moisture mitigation, and flooring installation sequencing in commercial settings., • Experience interacting with General Contractors, inspectors, and other trades., • Experience managing multiple commercial job sites simultaneously, • Strong scheduling, organization, and manpower management skills., • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred., • Ability to document job progress using digital platforms (CompanyCam experience a plus)., • Strong leadership and crew management, • Ability to operate in deadline-driven, multi-trade construction environments, • Frequent jobsite visits with exposure to commercial construction environments, • This position requires full-time on-site presence at our Dallas, TX (75244) area job sites; Travel between various job sites is required., • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application., • We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of a U.S. Employment visa (e.g. H-1B) for this position.
