Job Description Deburring Specialist Location: Rochester, NY Several Open Opportunities! Job Type: Direct Hire, comes with a full suite of benefits, PTO, 401(K) employer matching %, and more! Shift Schedule (Full-time): Monday-Friday (7:30AM-4:00PM or 7:00am to 3:30pm) Base Pay Rate: $22.00 to $27.00/hr. Position Summary: We're seeking detail-oriented Deburring Specialists where you will work with high-precision components serving aerospace, medical, and advanced manufacturing industries where attention to detail and quality output is critical. This role is perfect for someone who combines skilled hands with a keen eye for detail and a desire to build a long-term career. Position Responsibilities: • Perform precision deburring operations on machined components including filing, edge breaking, blending, surface finishing, sanding, deburring, cleaning, grinding, masking and polishing parts in accordance with quality standards., • Remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections using various hand tools and equipment., • Inspect parts for compliance with customer specifications., • Use precision measuring instruments to verify part quality., • Read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and work instructions., • Documentation in ERP/MRP software system., • Identify common part defects; and completes standard work independently while escalating complex issues. Requirements • High school diploma or GED, required; Trade or Vocational certificate in precision machining, desired., • 2+ years of experience deburring, polishing, surface finishing, grinding, masking, and polishing precision metal parts in accordance with quality standards., • Able to read and interpret engineering blueprints, & GD&T., • Experience in using manual, electric hand tools, deburring equipment, and precision measurement tools, required., • Must come from precision machining or highly-regulated manufacturing industries, preferably aerospace, defense, and medical industries., • Proficiency with precision measurement tools such as; calipers, micrometers, microscopes, height gauges, etc., • Must be able to commute daily. This position may involve access to technical data, software, or other information subject to U.S. export-control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Environment & Physical Demands: • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk and hear., • The job may involve prolonged periods of sitting and standing., • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. May involve prolonged periods of magnified inspection (eye strain)., • Ability to stand for extended periods., • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp., • The employee is frequently required to use the computer., • May involve the use of oils and solvents., • Subject to some soilage and irritation from cleaning solutions. (Lab Coats provided), • Generally, works in a clean environment and works to maintain the environment as such., • Safety Glasses are required and may require area specific safety training, • This position works in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud., • May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the production process.
