Job Description • We are looking for a detailed-oriented optometric technician/receptionist to join our thriving optometry practice. The ideal candidate will be the primary point of contact for patients, handling both clinical pre-testing and administrative front-desk operations. Key Responsibilities: Front Desk & Administrative (Receptionist Duties) • Patient Coordination: Greet patients warmly, manage the appointment schedule, and provide information on clinic policies., • Insurance & Billing: Collect and verify insurance coverage, handle patient billing, and process payments., • Pre-Examination Testing: Conduct preliminary tests such as visual acuity, IOP, retinal imaging, and auto-refraction., • Doctor Assistance: Prepare exam rooms, scribe during examinations, and assist with minor in-office procedures., • Patient Education: Train patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and overall eye care., • Experience: Previous experience in a medical or optometry office is preferred, however, on the job training is provided., • Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple tasks like scheduling, insurance verification, and billing, • Communication: Strong communication, listening, and team support skills are essentialCompany DescriptionWe are a 5-Star Eye Care/ Optometric Practice, founded in 1977 by Dr. Thomas Roselius and rebranded by Dr. Nhan "Nan" Tran.
