We’re looking for Lift Maintenance - Electrician 2 professionals to join our team in Girdwood, Alaska. What You’ll Do As an Lift Maintenance - Electrician 2, you will perform troubleshooting, scheduled and unscheduled electrical/mechanical maintenance as relevant to all aspects of ski lifts. These include, but are not limited to electro-mechanical, light industrial control systems, low voltage AC and DC controls, motors, drives and overhead or buried communication systems. Working both independently or as part of the maintenance team, the qualified candidates duties may need to be performed indoors or outdoors, at heights, and in all weather conditions. Your responsibilities will include: • Follow all lift maintenance policies and procedures as outlined by Lift Maintenance Manager, Mountain Operations Manager, General Manager, ANSI, and lift manufacturers., • Perform troubleshooting and repair of lift related Industrial Controls including PLC's and Drives., • Perform preoperational checks, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections, • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, tests, and repairs using Alyeska maintenance logs., • Assist in repair, rewiring and upgrading of electrical lift components., • Assist in installation and repair of overhead and buried communication systems., • Ability to learn applicable safety codes to assist other team members/departments operate in compliance with all Alyeska SOP’s, ANSI, OSHA, and manufacturers operational guidelines, • Actively involved in lift emergency procedures and time-dependent repairs., • Ability to prioritize according to departmental goals., • Have a basic knowledge of computer operating systems and ability to learn new systems as they pertain to lift operation and maintenance., • Work closely with level 3 and higher-level electricians and mechanics to further training and understanding of lift electrical and operational systems., • Ability to communicate with the Lift Maintenance Manager, Mtn. Operations Manager, Mountain GM, and other crew on all lift electrical/maintenance matters and safety issues. What We Offer ✅ Starting Wage: From $26 per hour ✅ Employee Housing: live and play where you work ✅ Flexible work schedules ✅ Paid time off & holidays ✅ Free Mountain Pass for employees and qualified dependents ✅ Employee discounts on resort lodging, dining, and spa services ✅ Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance ✅ 401(k) What We Need • Must be over 18 years old., • High school education or equivalent., • Must possess a valid Alaska Driver’s License., • Strong mechanical aptitude., • Minimum 2 years of experience in lift operation, lift electrical, lift maintenance and/or equivalent., • Knowledge of small hand tools, meters, equipment, and the ability to use them., • Ability to read electrical schematics, consult manuals, trade publications, vendors, staff schools and training programs to keep updated on current shop practices and new maintenance technologies to improve the efficiency and production of the Lift Maintenance Department., • Ability to work outside, at heights in all weather conditions., • Ability to operate snowmobiles, ATV’s, and heavy equipment., • Ability to ski or snowboard expert terrain in all conditions., • Must have a solid mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn quickly., • Must be able to work independently, under pressure, be dependable and able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays., • Must possess strong communication skills. What to Expect 📌Be on alert and at times, on your feet for long periods, including nights, weekends, & holidays. 📌Work in a fast-paced, high-energy resort environment. 📌Adapt to seasonal changes around the resort and special events. 📌Physical demands: while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, crawl, kneel, talk, see, hear, and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The employee must be able to operate hand and foot controls on vehicles/equipment. Specific vision abilities include color, and depth perception. 📌Work Environment: while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, heights, exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Physical terrain in the work environment can be uneven with poor traction; there is ice and snow outside, and wet floors indoors.
