Job Description Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description The General Production Worker supports a variety of operational tasks within a warehouse and production environment as a long-term temporary team member. This role focuses on inserting parts into finished goods, assisting with product rebranding, and supporting electrical conversion processes, while also providing intermittent support to the parts department. The position requires a quick learner with strong attention to detail who is comfortable performing physical tasks, shifting between different duties, and working independently in a fast-paced, variable role. Day shift from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Responsibilities • Insert parts into finished good packages, ensuring accuracy and completeness for hundreds of tanks stored on-site., • Support the product rebranding process by opening tanks, removing existing labels, and applying new labels according to updated standards., • Assist with electrical tank conversion activities, including opening tanks and switching electrical elements as directed., • Help in the parts department by building parts kits and assembling components to meet operational needs., • Perform cycle counts and basic inventory-related tasks to support accurate stock levels and inventory control., • Handle and move large items and materials safely, using appropriate material handling techniques and tools., • Use hand and power tools as needed for assembly, parts inspection, and general labor tasks., • Inspect parts and materials for quality and completeness, reporting any discrepancies or issues., • Adapt to changing priorities and pivot quickly from one job to another based on business demands., • Work with minimal supervision, taking initiative to identify what needs to be done and completing tasks efficiently., • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following warehouse and safety procedures at all times. Essential Skills • Ability to learn quickly and apply new processes and procedures with minimal ramp-up time., • Strong attention to detail when inserting parts, switching labels, and performing inspections., • Willingness and physical ability to perform various hands-on and labor-intensive tasks throughout the shift., • Flexibility to pivot between different tasks and responsibilities as business needs change., • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work without needing extensive direction., • Independent thinking skills, with the ability to make sound decisions within assigned responsibilities., • Experience in general labor, assembly, or material handling in an operations or warehouse setting., • Comfort working with hand and power tools for assembly and parts-related work., • Basic understanding of inventory practices, including cycle counts and parts handling., • Ability to handle large items or appliances safely and efficiently. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience in a warehouse, operations, or similar environment is preferred., • Experience handling appliances or large items is considered ideal., • Experience in inventory, material handling, assembly, general labor, or parts inspection is advantageous., • Familiarity with forklift operations such as sit-down, counterbalance, or high reach is a plus, though not required., • Willingness to learn forklift operation on the job if needed., • Comfort working around larger boilers and other sizable parts in a warehouse setting. Work Environment This role is based in a warehouse and production environment with a day shift from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with optional overtime available daily. You will work as part of a small team that includes forklift operators in shipping and receiving, and you will regularly interact with materials, parts, and finished goods. The work involves standing, moving, lifting, and handling large items, as well as using hand and power tools.
