Job description: Behavioral Support Specialist (BACB Certified) Private Household | Nanny Experience a Plus Full-Time | 12-Hour Shifts | 5 Days/Week 1-Hour Paid Break | Some Weekends Required Travel Required (Domestic & International) | $50 Per Diem Role Overview We are seeking a BACB-certified behavioral professional to provide behavior-informed support to children within a private household setting. This role is ideal for a candidate with a formal background in Applied Behavior Analysis who is comfortable applying evidence-based behavioral strategies in a non-clinical, family-centered environment. While this is not a clinical therapy position, the role requires a strong understanding of behavioral principles, emotional regulation, and developmental support. Professional nanny or private household childcare experience is a strong plus, particularly for candidates accustomed to high-profile or travel-heavy family environments. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position requiring professionalism, discretion, adaptability, and excellent judgment. Core ResponsibilitiesBehavioral Support & Implementation (Primary Focus) • Apply ABA-based strategies to support emotional regulation, routines, and daily transitions, • Implement parent-approved behavior plans or strategies aligned with guidance from external providers, when applicable, • Observe, document, and communicate behavioral patterns and progress to parents, • Support skill-building related to communication, social interaction, and daily living, • Collaborate respectfully with educators, therapists, or specialists involved in the child’s care (as appropriate), • Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care during daily routines, • Support age-appropriate learning, play, and enrichment activities, • Ensure children’s safety and well-being at all times, • Maintain organized, clean, and safe child-related environments, • Manage children’s laundry, supplies, and personal items, • Assist with preparation for outings, travel, and family events, • Travel with the family, including extended and short-notice trips, • Organize and manage all child-related travel needs, • Maintain a clean, hygienic environment aligned with best practices, • Respond appropriately to emergencies using CPR and First Aid training, • Communicate clearly and professionally with parents and household staff, • Active certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), • Experience applying behavioral strategies in real-world settings, • CPR & First Aid Certification, • Ability to work long shifts and travel extensively, • Professional nanny or private household childcare experience, • Experience supporting children with emotional regulation, neurodivergence, or developmental needs, • Experience working in high-profile or travel-intensive households, • 12 hours per day, • 5 days per week, • Some weekends required, • Full-Time Employment, • Health Insurance, • Paid Time Off, • Calm, confident, and highly professional, • Strong judgment and excellent communication skills, • Comfortable working outside a clinical setting while maintaining behavioral integrity, • Flexible, adaptable, and travel-ready, • Dental insurance, • Health insurance, • Paid time off, • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
