Job Description Location: Manhattan, New York, NY Start Date: September 8th, 2026 Rate: $28.00 per hour Position Type: Full-time, live-out, long-term About the Family We are a family of three in Greenwich Village with a 6-month-old daughter and a very sweet mid-size (25lb) labradoodle. We both work full time jobs, one of us at an office and the other works from home. We are looking for a nanny who becomes a genuine, lasting part of our daughter’s life. We want someone who is proactive and who we can consider part of our family’s team. Our ideal candidate is warm and caring, and is someone who feels passionately about helping our daughter develop into the best version of herself. The Role We are seeking an experienced, career nanny to take full ownership of our daughter’s daily care and development, beginning at six months. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with infants, specifically focusing on the introduction of foods, allergen exposure, nap structure, and encouraging development through play. Schedule • Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM, • Friday: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM preferred (flexible), • Occasional additional evenings or weekend hours by mutual agreement Feeding & Nutrition • Lead the introduction of solids and allergen exposure, following and logging intake, reactions, and tolerance in our tracking system • Prepare all of our daughter’s meals from scratch — purees, snacks, and age-appropriate family food as she progresses • Manage bottle, formula, and breastmilk handling, storage, and sterilization, • Maintain her food inventory and grocery shop as needed Daily Care & Development • Full ownership of naps and the daily schedule, working in coordination with our current sleep approach, • Problem solving the schedule as sleep or feeding issues arise through developmental stages, • Diapering, bathing, dressing, and all daily routines, • Age-appropriate developmental play, tummy time, reading, music, and sensory activities, • Daily outdoor time, walks, and classes and activities (music, swim, playgroups) as we find them Baby-Related Household • Her laundry, washed and put away, • Organizing her room, clothing, toys, and gear; flagging outgrown items and sizing needs, • Cleaning bottles, dishes, high chair, and play spaces, • Keeping her supplies stocked and her spaces orderly Light Household Support Time permitting, and never at the expense of childcare: • Tidying common areas, unloading the dishwasher, washing our clothes with the baby’s, occasional family meal prep if cooking is something you enjoy, etc. Who We’re Looking For Required • 10+ years of professional nanny experience, with a substantial portion in infant care, • Demonstrated expertise in introducing solids and structured allergen introduction., • Current infant and child CPR and First Aid certification (we can pay for a refresher), • Verifiable long-tenure references (2+ years per family preferred), • Ability to travel with the family occasionally 2-4+ weeks/year, • Comfortable with a background check, • Non-smoker; up to date on flu, Tdap, COVID and other vaccinations and physical Ideal • Training or coursework in infant nutrition, food allergy management, or child development, • Experience supporting a family through sleep training and holding a schedule consistently, • Experience growing with a family as the child ages, and through the arrival of potential siblings Compensation & Benefits • Rate: $28.00 per hour, paid weekly, • Paid trial day(s), a [90-day] check-in, and a formal written work agreement EOE We are an equal opportunity employer and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
