Senior Network Engineer (Cisco ACI & Palo Alto) Location: Dallas, TX 75247 Work Schedule: Hybrid – Onsite first 60 days, then 3 days onsite / 2 days remote Employment Type: Contract (Manager open to Contract-to-Hire) On-Call: Required rotation (includes nights/weekends change windows) Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with strong hands-on ownership of Cisco ACI environments and deep Palo Alto firewall administration experience. This role requires advanced technical expertise in enterprise-scale data center and campus networking environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience designing, building, supporting, and independently managing complex network changes in a production environment. This role requires technical depth, operational execution, and strong ownership mindset. Key Responsibilities • Own and manage Cisco ACI environments and Palo Alto firewall infrastructure (5xxx & 7xxx series)., • Design, implement, and support enterprise-scale campus and data center networks., • Manage network security posture across multiple projects., • Perform firewall implementation, administration, and maintenance., • Configure and support advanced routing technologies including BGP, VXLAN, VRFs, EIGRP, and OSPF., • Develop network architecture documentation including MOPs, schematics, and project plans., • Coordinate testing for redundancy, resiliency, and capacity planning., • Support WAN-connected clinics and remote sites., • Evaluate emerging communication technologies and recommend improvements., • Provide mentorship to junior network engineers., • Participate in scheduled change windows and on-call rotation., • Ensure adherence to quality and security standards. Required Technical Skills • Cisco ACI (Advanced / Hands-on ownership required), • Palo Alto Firewalls (PA 5xxx & 7xxx series), • Cisco 9500/9600 Routing & Switching, • BGP, VRF, VXLAN/VLAN, • NAC (Network Access Control), • Deep knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, • Enterprise routing (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), • Network virtualization (ACI, SDN, NFV), • WAN technologies (leased lines, fiber, DWDM, optical transport), • Wireless 802.1x, VOIP, HSNAC, • IPAM, DNS/DHCP, • Network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, AKIPS, NetDisco) Automation & Scripting • Python or PERL scripting, • Ansible, Puppet or other automation tools, • Network automation and orchestration experience preferred Education & Certifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, • Minimum 8 years of enterprise network engineering experience, • CCNA required, • CCNP strongly preferred, • Master’s degree preferred Additional Qualifications • Experience with Windows, UNIX, and Linux systems, • Strong documentation and presentation skills, • Ability to develop policies and procedures, • Ability to manage large-scale production changes independently Pride Global offers eligible employees comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance, and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
