Job Description: As a general technician at VPE Thermal, your primary role will be assisting the production and engineering departments with general hands-on mechanical and electrical tasks. These tasks may range from assembly and construction of equipment for manufacturing to experimental test facilities for heat exchanger development. Your daily tasks will also include general preventative maintenance on existing plant equipment and time sensitive repairs including diagnostics. Required Experience: • More than four years of experience working in an industrial setting, • Ability to interpret work instructions, schematics, and technical documentation, • Experience in performing preventative maintenance and diagnostics on industrial equipment, • Knowledgeable in high voltage power electronics and low voltage controls and instrumentation, • Experienced in control systems including PID controllers and PLCs (programming and wiring), • Knowledgeable on fittings including NPT, Swagelok, and ANSI flange, • Ability to interface with other technicians (welders, machinists), engineers, or subcontractors, • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including cutting, milling, forming, and welding of steel Desired Experience: • Associates degree or certification in mechanics, electronics, manufacturing, etc., • More than two years working in a high-paced manufacturing environment, • Basic drafting ability to produce drawings for supplier communications, • Ability or perform structural mild steel MIG welding, • Prior work experience in ISO9001/AS9100 environment, • Knowledge of national buildings and electrical codesCompany DescriptionVPE Thermal, a growth world leader in microchannel heat exchanger design and manufacturing serves many global industries including power generation, chemical processing, oil/gas, nuclear and renewable energy. We have two openings available: 1 radiologist who can do IR and some diagnostic radiology. In hospital 8am to 5pm, weekdays.
